Don't know about acting, it seems fine to me, but the mistress thing annoys me. Yes, this happens in real life, but most cheating husbands keep their mistresses away from their wives. They like to have a woman at home to take care of the household so they wouldn't jeopardise the marriage by dangling the mistress in front of the wife's face.
Over here, we have a man who made his mistress his wife and brought her home. That's just stupid. His son is one step further in stupidity because he's got a fake mistress in the house so he can hurt his wife.

I agree the Pawanias cast were those who made Waaris Waaris. Definitely their acting skills are better than those actors in the Bajwa's house. However it could also be that we think that way because of the characters they play. They have stronger characters and definitely had more chances to prove their skills..

That's exactly it. The Pawanias are full fledged characters and they're the ones we've seen more of. We've seen them develop as Preet grew up.
Swaroop was only Bajwa (besides Raj) who actually had a character. She was pretty much a grey character and that's why I found her interesting. Amrit and Harjeet were just black and white. Same goes for Raman and Rohan. They were literally good parent, bad parent, good brother and bad brother.
