Nisha went back to her seat. The break was over and the winners were about to be announced.
Laura- Before we tell the two teams who are to the Grand showdown, we would like to tell that all the performances today were fabulous and outstanding. A round of applause for all of them!
They all clapped.
Andrew- And now the two teams who are going to perform for the final showdown. Let's take it straight as I can see everyone tensed right now.
Laura- The first team is...
Nisha had her fingers crossed while Kabir had his eyes tightly closed.
Laura- The Impeccables!
Kabir literally jumped out of his seat. Everyone clapped for the team. Kabir sat down as he understood what an embarrassing thing he did as an owner. On the backside Kaira, Viraj and Kj started dancing in excitement silently but controlled because they wanted to know if Nisha qualified.
Andrew- And the 2nd team is...
Laura- It is the Target Locked!
Now it was Nisha who jumped out of excitement. Now Gaurav and Shanaya also joined Vira and Kj. Nisha stopped and sat down. Everyone clapped for her team as well.
Laura- We will begin the final showdown in 15 minutes. I would request you all to enjoy the dinner.
Nisha went to Kaira and hugged her. Then she hugged Gaurav, Shanaya and Kj but not Viraj.
Ni- Guys, you start having the dinner. I will go and prepare my team. This is what we are here for. I can't believe we made it.
Kaira- You made it Nisha.
Ni- I was never alone. I always had you at my back. Thanks guys!
Ga- Ab bas yahi sunna bacha tha.
They all laughed. Nisha left to her team's green room.
Ga- Kabir kyun nahi aa raha hai?
Kaira- (changing the topic) I am feeling hungry! Shall we?
Kabir went to his team's green room.
IMPECCABLES
Ka- Congratulations everyone!
Everyone- (excited) Thank you sir!
Ka- But remember this is not the end. This is the beginning of your efforts. The final showdown is gonna be real challenging. The team that is going to compete with us is really a great team. So let us discuss the steps again but don't perform them right now because you might hurt yourself. Begin verbally!
TARGET LOCKED
Ni- Hi everyone!
Everyone- (excited) Hello ma'am!
Ni- You all performed beautifully. Well done! And congratulations!
Everyone- Thankyou ma'am!
Ni- Now listen everyone, the team we are going to compete with is tough but we cannot lose. We are here to win. Do whatever it takes to win but in the right manner. Don't hurt yourself. Now let us discuss the positions and shots.
15 minutes passed like that. The first chance was given to IMPPECABLES.
They started performing on the song WHO RUN THE WORLD & SIT STILL LOOK PRETTY. (Guys do listen the song SIT STILL LOOK PRETTY if time allows. It is the awesomest song I have heard in English.) Priyal was taking the lead. They did lyrical and rough contemporary along with B-boying. They also added some steps of Indian semi classical. The expressions really touched. Their performance ended. Everyone stood up and started clapping. Kabir couldn't be more happier.
Nisha's team acquired the stage. They started performing on the song LOVE STORY. Here Nancy and her partner were fighting the word. They were shooting in different positions. The whole act was basically a fairytale in which the girl and the guy are fighting the world to get their love portrayed in a new way. As soon as the song ended everyone gave them a standing ovation. Now both the teams came to the stage. They had to perform on a different song which was not related to their themes. They were basically doing stunts. Finally the showdown ended. Everyone gave them a standing ovation. The teams went to their respective green rooms.
Laura and Andrew went to the stage after some 5 minutes.
Laura- This is what I call Bravo!
Andrew- Well done teams!
Nisha and Kabir smiled showing gratitude.
Laura- in order to announce the results I would like to call both the teams to the stage along with their owners.
Nisha and Kabir went on the stage and stood with their teams. Everyone was scared. Viru, Guaraya and Kj were scared to hear the result.
Andrew- Before we tell the result we want to make an announcement.
Ka- (monologue) Ab kya aaya inn over-smart logon ke dimaag mein!
Laura- The team who stood second was just points away from winning the competition.
Andrew- So we have decided that even the team who stood second will get 5 years investment from our side.
Laura- And the team who stands first, as we all know, will get investments from our side for 10 years.
Ka- (monologue) Zindagi mein pehli baar kuch acha kiya hai in logon ne!
Andrew- All the best guys!
Laura- So the winner of this competition is...
Everyone's heart beats were racing. (Even mine!)
Andrew- The winner is...
Laura & Andrew- THE IMPECCABLES!
Kabir' team jumped out of joy. The party poppers were released. Everyone started clapping. The team was literally jumping on each other. Nisha's team wasn't really sad because they were happy to get an investment for 5 years. Laura and Andrew came to Nisha.
Laura- You all were brilliant. It was just 0.5 difference.
Andrew- Yes! And cheer up for you could beat the best teams of the world.
Nisha smiled. They gave her the second prize. Actually she was happy for Kabir.
Laura and Andrew congratulated Kabir and his team. They gave him the trophy. After sometime they all went down.
Chapter-21
Realizing The Mistakes
IN GREEN ROOM (Nisha)
Ni- (to her team) You were all brilliant. Well done! Somewhere we might have gone wrong. But that wrong doesn't matter anymore. This is what we were here for. You have won. You have won for me.
All those sad faces cheered up. They thought that Nisha might be angry and upset but actually she was happy.
Ni- Let's party tonight! What say?!
Everyone- YAY!
Ni- Okay, I will meet you guys near the reception by 10. Get ready! You have got an hour.
IN GREEN ROOM (Kabir)
Everyone was dancing and partying in their own way.
Ka- Acha chalo! Let us party somewhere. Itna door aaye hain so we should. Get ready by 9.30.
Pr- Sir, itni jaldi?
Ka- Acha okay! Take your time. By 10.
Everyone agreed. Kabir went out and bashed in Nisha.
Ka & Ni- I am sorry (without looking)
They looked at each other and smiled.
Ni- Congratulation! Your team was great.
Ka- Well congratulations to you too. And yours was brilliant.
Ni- Thank you!
Nisha was about to leave when Kabir called her.
Ka- are your going to meet Viru and others?
Nisha nodded.
Ka- Can I join you?
Nisha turned the other way and stood. Kabir understood that she was waiting for him.
They went. Here ViRa, Kj, Gauraya were dancing. Nibir met them. They hugged each other.
Ga- Dekho humaare winners aa gaye!
Kj- Congratulations Mb!
Nisha went down. Kj kissed her on her cheek. Nisha smiled and hugged him. He called Kabir down. He kissed him on his cheek and hugged him.
Kj- Congratulations Mamu!
Ka- Thank you Kj!
They were all talking. Gaurav saw that the equation between NIBIR was not the same. He silently took Nisha to a side.
Ni- Haan bol!
Ga- Tu bol?
Ni- Arre main toh bilkul theek hoon
Gaurav face palmed while Nisha laughed.
Ga- I am talking about Kabir and you.
Ni- (hiding) Nothing!
Ga- tu mujhse nahi chupa payegi!
Tears started flowing down Nisha's eyes. She wiped them.
Ni- Kya main aaj mere bhaa se baat kar sakti hoon?
Gaurav smiled and nodded. Nisha told him everything what happened in the past and what happened on that party day. Also what happened on the next day. Everything! Gaurav didn't reply.
Ni- (wiping her tears as she started crying) Bhaa aap hamesha toh aise logon ki laga dete ho but today you are not even saying anything?
Ga- (wiping the tears properly with his handkerchief) Nisha main hamesha isiliye aisa karta hoon because I know they will hurt you but Nisha Kabir didn't. Moreover he is hurt.
Nisha couldn't understand.
Ga- Nisha, mana Kabir ka tareeka galat tha but kya woh directly aakar tujhse se poochta, would you tell him?
Nisha knew the answer but didn't say.
Ga- I know Nisha you won't. Nisha tu usse chod ke aa gayi thi. You were his life and you left him just like that with a message that I am going. Do you think this is enough? He has full right to know what happened, don't you think?
Ni- (crying) But bhaa not by hurting me?
Ga- and what about the wounds that you gave him?
Ni- I got the same wounds.
Ga- No Nisha, you didn't. Nisha, Kabir was hurt by you. You left him. That was the thing that hurt him. And you were hurt by his mother. You know he gave you his life and when you left you took his life with you. Doesn't he have this right to know why?
Nisha nodded.
Ga- Then where is he wrong? Moreover Nisha, tere paas koi right nahi hai usse naaraz hone ka. Usne kya galat kiya? His mother did. You should be angry with her and not him. Aaj uske paas kaun hai? His mother, whom he trusted so much did such a thing with him. His love left him without telling him the reason. I understand that you are hurt but Nisha, woh tujhse zyada hurt hai. Woh hurt hi nahi hai, he is broken. And Nisha galat toh Viraj bhi nahi hai. He just wanted you two to cut off your pain. He wanted the best for you.
Nisha started crying as she understood her mistake.
Ni- (while crying) Ab main kya karoon Bhaa?
Ga- (wiped her tears gently with his handkerchief) Nisha, this is your fight. I can only tell you what is right and what is wrong but it is the decisions that you take now which will tell you what the future holds.
Nisha looked at Gaurav. Today she talked to her bhaa after a long time because she knew only he had the answer for her problem. Gaurav got up and was about to leave when Nisha suddenly hugged him.
Ga- Kya hua?
Ni- You are the best brother. I love you bhaa!
Ga- Haan chal!
Gaurav left. He knew Nisha needed time for now.
