Hello everyone! I have been a silent reader on this forum for sometime but one performance in today's episode really compelled me to make a post here- Neela. Mama bear was in full protection mode today and she made a call for HER daughter's future and she WILL NOT take any kind of jibes from ANYONE questioning her. Now you may question, she forced avni to marry neil. In any other circumstances I would not be onboard with this. But today she gave avni's life a direction that does not start and end at vengeance and aman and ayesha and ashish and neela and nanno and dayavanti. It ends with Avni having a semi-functional family with a husband she respects, who loves her, a FIL who accepted her at her worst when her own father left her at her best and a bickering MIL that everyone has and hopefully a family to follow. she gave avni a shot at normal.

Noone in the world knows Avni as well as Neela does. She is right, she singlehandedly raised avni for the longest time. perhaps that is why Neela alone recognized how close avni came to becoming the person she hates the most- Dayavanti. Neela not only recognizes Neil's love for avni but she also recognized that neil would stop avni from pulling the trigger. just as she did. aman was simply an excuse, neela recognized the need to save her daughter's life from this one track revenge. the famous saying from the scarlet letter- revenge destroys both the victim and the seeker. she did this in an attempt to salvage some of her daughter's life from destruction. so mama bear, hats off to you- she stopped aman from leaving, saved riya from both dhoka and a loveless marriage, saved neil from his own self-righteousness and even saved the khanna family from an A-class dhoka in the process of saving her daughter. I completely agree that not all women need marriage to validate their lives, but revenge cannot be the validation of someones life either. avni was a happy girl with ordinary happy dreams, who died under the pressures of her parents' inability to be good parents (yes i include both ashish and ayesha here- one abandoned her and the other pretty much was her child rather than the other way around) and ofcourse dayavanti's terror. neela tried to salvage some of that girl.

also really really enjoyed her confrontation scene with nanno. she absolutely should not and im glad she didnt, take any criticism of her parenting and her motherhood. neela has more right on avni's life than anyone else and ONLY SHE can decide whats best for HER daughter. nanno is still an idealist. she hasnt experienced avni growing up with a bullet wound on her chest since 11 years old. she only knew her grandchild who was good and sweet and innocent. this reminds me of a conversation between neela and nanno previously where the latter asserts that this is avni's age to love and not live for revenge and neela asserts that avni isnt an ordinary girl of her age. neela knows what her daughter is- her strengths and weaknesses and ONLY she has the right to take this decision as not only avni's mother but also her saarthi in this kurukshetra.

i LOVED how she quickly shut neil down- kutneeti was going on all around, its just that neela won where the rest see their failure. im very much excited to see a continuation of this jamai raja and saas relationship. neil could not meet her eyes once in denying what she was saying and indeed it is so obvious that he DOES protect avni. if he was as mad as he seemed, avni's truth would come on his lips the second he saw her under the ghunghat. but he didnt say a word. and neela just knew that- if that was not a mother's intuition then i dont know what is.

Mama bear... wow what a punchline...
Excellent post.. Word to word. Your post explains it all. Lobed the way Cv's have portrayed Neela's character. Inspite of being a single parent she is not demure and fragile.

She is capable of taking a right decision in the worst scenarios. Woman of substance...

KUDOS to her🤗

For me Ayesha just gave birth to Avni...In true sense Neela is her mother...She knows to stand for her Avni..Ayesha was blindly in love with Ashish and in that process she became vulnerable and never stood for her rights...Neela is a fighter...she always was one...Neela didnt became jealous 2nd wife or Step Mother...
She truly is Avni's mother...The Strongest Mother 👏

Excellent post. Loved how you presented your thoughts. Today I saw neela as a real fighter. Honestly, ayesha has nothing on neela. Ayesha was a weak, spineless and wreckless mother, who spent most of her time being love-sick over her pathetic lover and crying for him, to the point she forgot that protecting her daughter from her spineless lover's evil family should have been her first priority. She was also jealous of neela and blamed her also for ashish leaving her. She was brainless.

Then you have Neela, who is resilient, head-strong, and knows how to keep her emotions intact. Her sense of moral is clear, and she knows where her priorities are. She doesn't see her own pain or blame others unnecessarily for the wrong that happens in her life, but rather sees other people's pain. This was clear when she saw Avni for the first time in her car that night, and merely from seeing Avni's eyes, Neela could tell how much pain she was in.

Nanno has no right to question Neela's motherhood, when her own daughter was such a pathetic and irresponsible mother to her birth-daughter. I didn't watch the show that much before the leap to know this, but I hope nanno gave her own daughter a reality check about how awful and a failure of a mother she was.

Today's episode was amazing. I will say though, that Avni's explanations to Neil about why she sat in the mandap missed the mark. She could have been a little more convincing than trying to make Neil believe she was sacrificing herself to save Neil from humiliation because riya had ran away previously. Such a silly excuse. Like he was really going to believe that. She could have just said that riya had ran away from home as she was unhappy with this marriage, but daya forced riya to go through with the wedding, so because hetal and neela didn't want riya to go through with this forced marriage and tied her up, hetal and neela convinced her to take riya's place. This would have been so much more convincing, especially because it would not have been a lie, but part of the truth.

Didn't watch the epi yet, so one question. So Neil was angry cause the marriage turned out legal with real pandit and not cause neela and avni did bride swap?
Amazing post, you should write more..

completely agree with you...Bahot hi acchi tarah se apne apni post me neela ke character ko aur uski Avni ke upar care ko acche se word me describe kara hai maa to aese hi hoti hai...Neela bahot hi strong hai aur more mature than Ayesha...Neela avni ko itni acchi tarah se samjati hai ki usse jayada koi nahi samaj sakta..i wish ke future me neil bhi itni acchi tarah se samaj sake and i m more exited for Neil and Neela equation...

@bold: that's much needed...Neela ne apni beti ke future ko new path de diya nahi to vo destructive way pe jaa rahi thi kyunki revenge se kisika bhalla nahi hota...uska jo focus aman hai uske alawa bhi uski life honi chahiye aman ko sudharo aur phir batao kya hua tha Ayesha ke sath aur Dayawanti ne kya kiya tha uske baad last decision to Aman ka hi rahega...uske sath Avni ko apni choti si family mil jayegi jo usse payaar karegi and Avni bhi unko pyaar karegi..jo usko payaar par se bharosa uth gaya hai vo bhi vapish aayega ki pyaar bura nahi hai par vo kisse hota hai vo person accha yaa bura hota hai...neela ma sahi maino me uski mom hai aagra Ayesha inda hoti to bhi vo itna Avni ke liye soch nahi sakti..Neela ne Avni ko ek dusri vajah di hai jine ki aur happiness ki..Neil to accha hai hi par muje parkashji se zayada hope hai ki vo avni ki zindagi me father ki kami puri kare...Hats off to Neela maa...well done
