Totally agree... Mama Bear is very apt... A protective and savvy Mama Bear!!!

In all the characters that are being portrayed only 1 has stayed true to form, that is Neela. From beginning even when she had no inkling about Avni, she loved the child. There was a connection. Even when she was given Aman to take care as her child, she still preferred the problematic child called Avni.

I stopped watching Namkaran and just restarted. Loved the last 2 episodes with Neela an Neel. The Ns are well matched. The savvy dialogues and the in-depth meaning of each sentence uttered by Neela towards Neil was very apt.

Avni - Annaya is what she is today because of Neela and Neela knows Avni is another roop of Dayavanthi Mehta. Didn't Aishish compare Dayavanthi with Avni earlier on. If Avni had turned into another Dayanthi, which she would have become once her revenge program ended, then, all the effort of bringing up Avni would have gone down the drains. Neela was astute enough to make the call. Avni needs a family, a husband who would support her and show her the correct path. A husband who does not have baggage to carry, who stands for the right things and in-laws who are not dysfunctional. For all her drama, Shewta loves her family. She will not destruct her family for her self interest. That Neela could recognize and she took a decision that was tough but justifiable..

She also made sure Neel recognizes his feeling for Avni, in a way she secured Avni's place in Neel's heart. Beautifully executed.

Her response to Fatima, made me tear. She has dedicated her life to a child whom she has no blood connection but is connected more in all other means. Being questioned on your motherhood...oh my god!!

& I second you. Avni was more of Ayesha's mother than other way around. Neela is the only one who gave Avni a parent's love & care. Neela has been more of the mother to her than her own mother could ever be. Avni was thinking of ways to make a living & making her own identity when Ayesha was busy saying she can't do acting again & self doubting. & then there was Neela, always supporting Avni. A mother through & through. Stopping her from going on the wrong path but do not hesitate to do something wrong just to protect Avni. i.g. Planning to flee the country with Avni when she was a runaway criminal in the eye of law & taking law in her own hands, bride swap etc.

A mama bear truly.
