TS : Who will win the battle of righteousness and ego Part 2 (Pg1)

The scene starts with everybody in the courtroom. Arjun and Maya sit on their side while Saanjh clan goes to the other side of the room.

Ranveer (Maya's lawyer) : My lord today's case is nothing new compared to many rape cases happening in the country, I ask your permission to start the hearing

Judge : The hearing should be started, Ms Mathur you may proceed

Saanjh : thank you, My lord in today's world as Mr Singh said this is not a new case but the trend has changed, because women like Maya Sharma who can do anything to hold the power and trap the innocent guy in rape case

Ranver : Objection My lord

Judge : Objection sustained

Saanjh : My lord I want to call the victim of this case Mrs Maya Arjun Sharma (says loudly)

Judge grants permission while Maya comes into the courtroom

Both girls look at each other smiling with sarcasm.

Saanjh : Mrs Sharma, you have accused my client Ayaan Sharma for rape attempt is that correct

Maya : Yes, that is right

Saanjh : If I am not wrong that day you and your husband Arjun Sharma were supposed to go to London for business conference but only you left for the meeting, he didn't board on the flight

Maya looks at Arjun who has guilty face remembering how he lied to Maya and went to meet his family

Saanjh : Mrs Sharma I am asking you something

Maya (breaks her silence) : We were on our way but then we got an email of a client that he wants us to meet urgently, so I told Arjun to stay back

Saanjh : if you don't remember or you are just simply lying, you are big business woman, this does not suit you

Maya ; what do you mean

Saanjh ; My lord, I will tell the real truth, the day when Maya and Arjun were supposed to go London, Mr Sharma purposely missed his flight and went to meet his family

Maya who is not unaware is still in shock hearing

Saanjh ; Yes My lord, and I have an eye witness that Mr Sharma was with his family the time when Maya was in flight

Maya : thats our personal matter

Saanjh : No Mrs Sharma, not it is the matter of law, will you tell us what happened next or do you want me to reveal

Maya : my health was getting bad so the flight had an emergency landing

Saanjh : point to be noted my lord, the flight in which Maya boarded had an emergency landing when it was taking off, the health thing she is talking about is not a big, that was just the small injury am I right Mrs Sharma?

Maya ; i opened the pit to take my bag and it fell on my head

Saanjh : it fell or you deliberately pulled it down (smirks)

Maya ; you can think whatever you want but truth won't change

Saanjh : okay I believe that bag fell on you but then it was not that big injury for emergency landing

Ranveer : Objection My Lord, what does that have to with the case, Miss Lawyer is forgetting that we are here for an attempt to rape case not discussing somebody's character

Saanjh : My lord if Mrs Sharma can fake her injury, get fake doctor then what is the guarantee she will not lie about this rape

Maya : what proof do you have?

Saanjh ; I have many proof that you will get tired of counting, what evidence do you want, that ambulance, doctor, or driver whom you bribed or do you want me bring your own husband's confession that his wife has made his life hell

Maya who has manipulated all situations does not have anymore strength to fight and looks at Arjun in tears as she never expected him to publicly share their problems.

Saanjh ; My Lord, Maya's silence says so many things, I guess I don't have anything else to prove, thank you Mrs Sharma you can leave

Maya goes out of witness box while Saanjh asks for the permission to call Maya's employee Shilpa

Saanjh ; you work with Maya right in her office from long?

Shilpa ; like 5 years ago I started working in Fashion and city

Saanjh : can you please tell the court that how is Maya Sharma as a boss treated her employees

Shilpa : Judge, I have seen Maya ma'am very closely, she is very strict boss who does not take a moment to fire her employee for a small mistake, I still remember the day when she fired me when I lied about the interview, she controls her employees, even outside office we cannot focus on anything else

Saanjh : thank you Shilpa you can leave, my lord, in front of world Maya Sharma is successful business woman but she keeps control on her all employee and if somebody tries to break that boundary the famous Maya Mehrothra kick them out in one second without even thinking what would happen to them

Ranveer : I would like to remind Ms Mathur that she is wasting time of court by doing baseless arguments

Saanjh : this is not the baseless argument, my lord Maya Sharma's shadow is so dangerous that even after work, her employee always stay in fear even outside, my next witness is Arjun Sharma, brother of my client and husband of Maya Sharma

Saanjh : Mr Sharma, can you tell the court that what happened suddenly after 3 years, the family whom you never cared to look behind, you were so desperate to meet that you missed your flight

Arjun ; thats my personal matter, I don't find it necessary to tell you that

Saanjh : this is not about your personal matter, it concerns with the life of an innocent person

Arjun : I realized in the three years that life cannot be live with memories, but with your loved ones, I wanted to ask forgiveness from them

Saanjh : really? then what made you think that the brother you claim to love, can try to molest any girl and that too his bhabhi

Arjun : because I have seen Maya's wounds and I also heard his voice outside

Saanjh : where were you when all this was happening ?

Arjun : I was too drunk to remember anything, I heard Ayaan saying he would not spare Maya

Saanjh : and you believed that he could molest your wife, great logic you have I must say

Arjun : because I know no women can lie about her rape

Saanjh : not any women but your wife can, her silence is the proof of this, and I will prove this today, thank you Mr Sharma

Ranveer : My lord, we often say that a bhabhi- devar like a sacred relationship but this guy standing in this court today has disgraced the purity of this relationship, so I want to bring that hunter Mr Ayaan Sharma to the witness box

Judge : Permission granted

Ayaan comes inside the box

Ranveer : Mr Ayaan Sharma, as you know my client Mrs Maya sharma who is your bhabhi, has accused you rape attempt

Ayaan : this is all lie, she wants to frame me

Ranveer : Mr Ayaan, we are lawyers its our responsibility to find out truth, you just answer my question

Saanjh signals Ayaan to cooperate

Ranveer : can you tell me in detail what happened that day, what were you doing in your brother's house

Ayaan : that night, after Bhai went with Maya in ambulance, I got worried for him so I followed them and my doubt was right, she took my bhai at her home instead of hospital so in anger I barged inside

Ranveer : Point to be noted My lord, when Mr Ayaan reached at Maya's house, he was in anger and drunk too am I right Mr Sharma

Ayaan : yes, bhai and I had drink on our house when he came back after 3 years

Ranveer : I will tell you the real reason that why you went behind Maya, according to Ms Mathur, Arjun Sharma was having problem with his marriage so he shared his personal problem with his brother, taking the advantage of the situation and went behind his brother

Ayaan : this is all lie, Maya lied and brought bhai to her house and tied him, I was trying to get the keys from her

Ranveer: really? how, by ripping your bhabhi's clothes wow Mr Sharma

Saanjh : Objection My lord, Mr Singh is trying to instigate my client

Ranveer: Ms Mathur, you probably don't know that a person always says truth in two ways, one when he is drunk and other when he is very angry, and that is what your client is doing

Judge : Ms Mathur, you can take a seat till the prosecution finish asking his question

Ranveer : Thank you My lord, so Mr Ayaan, if Ms Maya really had put keys in her dress, why didn't you call the police or created a scene when you saw your brother inside the room

Ayaan stays quite remembering the whole incidence

Ranveer : why are you silent Mr Ayaan, answer my questions

Saanjh : Mr Singh, his silence is not his weakness, I will show you the proof that will prove Maya Sharma is nothing but fake from her head to leg, I grant permission to play in the court

The CD plays in the court room showing how Maya beats herself with the vase. The other footage shows how Maya ties sedative Arjun in the room. Ayaan comes inside the house and have fight with Maya who hides the keys in her dress. She runs around the house and breaks the things. She kicks him with her leg and runs around the house and the scene shifts to the part when police comes.

Saanjh ; My lord, I don't think I have to give any other proof to prove that Maya Sharma is lying for such a sensitive thing which so many innocent girls face

Ranveer : My Lord I want to tell the court that footages can be edited, but not the medical report, this is the forensic lab report, Maya Sharma's clothes were sent in the lab, I want to call the nurse who diagnoses Maya Sharma's medical

Nurse : I will tell only truth (takes oath)

Ranveer : If I am not wrong you examined Maya Sharma's medical check up right

Nurse : yes that is right

Ranveer : can you please tell the court what is on the report

Nurse : My lord, yesterday when Maya came to our lab she was very scared to do any test but on the insistence of her husband she agreed, I saw all the marks on her body, I know that some injuries does not prove, but the wounds on her arm and mark on her shoulder clearly says that somebody has forced on her and it was out of self defense

Ranveer : thank you ma'am, you can leave, My lord my next witness is Ms Simi diwan who is Mr Ayaan Sharma's fianc

Judge ; permission granted

Ranveer : thank you Sir

Simi comes in front which relieves Ayaan

Ranveer : Ms Simi, you are Mr Ayaan Sharma's fianc right

Simi ; yes

Ranveer ; from how long do you know him

Simi : like 6 months, we worked together in a same company, he is very nice guy who never flirted with any girl not before or even after meeting me

Ranveer : point to be noted My lord, Ms Simi just said her fianc that Mr Ayaan never had any relation with other girls or any bad record

Simi : this is true, I know him better he can never do anything wrong

Ranveer : our job is not to judge people good or bad, our duty is to only prove if they are guilty or not, and My lord Mr Ayaan's records shows that he has very strong motive to do this, Ms Simi you can leave

Ranveer Singh calls the girl who robbed Ayaan and left him naked

Ruby : yes your honor, I know him very well, he is very famous on finder, and thats how I met him, he is a big flirt

Ranveer : thank you Ruby, your honor another evidence I want to show court that Mr Ayaan was also trapped in a drug mafia case because of his habit of chatting on finder, but thanks to Maya Sharma who bailed him out, thats all your honor

Precap : what will be the final verdict of truth and justification ?

Both sides are too nervous about the final verdict but judge dismisses the case till two days.

Judge : court will give final verdict after two days, till then Mr Ayaan should be on bail but should be watched strictly by police

Outside the court media questions Arjun and Maya but they flatly denies.

Mehrothra house

Arjun ; Maya, listen to me, at least give me chance to explain

Maya : just leave me alone, when you are not bothered about my honor, what is the meaning of this case

Arjun : Maya

She shuts the door on his face and breaks things. Arjun secretly goes to meet somebody on his flat terrace. It turns out to be Saanjh who is smiling.

Arjun : sorry dusky, I got bit too much that day

Saanjh : have I ever minded you duffer, our fight is same, by the way how is your so called wife

Arjun : don't even ask me, I want to relax for a while, so whats the plan

Saanjh : we tried our best by tampering that CCTV footage but I don't know how did that medical reports didn't change

Arjun : I know, I bribed the doctor too but somebody foiled our plans

Saanjh : thats what I am worried about

Arjun : where is Ayaan, I want to meet him please

Saanjh : he is at home, quite afraid of tomorrow

Arjun : don't worry till I am here nothing will happen

Both of them goes to the house

Arjun : ma, where is Ayaan

Vandana : Arjun, thank god you came, Ayaan is very much scared, he does not want to talk with anybody

Arjun goes inside the room and finds Ayaan sitting in corner on floor

"Hey, my champion, what happened Arjun says softly

"Bhai, I swear I didn't do anything, i don't want to go jail, help me: Ayaan pleads constantly

Arjun : listen to me Ayaan, till your brother is alive nothing will happen to you and thats my promise, whatever happens I will not let you go jail

Ayaan ; but bhai, you will not do anything stupid, don't pay for my mistake

Arjun : this time truth will win Ayaan

Vandana : Arjun, Saanjh you both please don't do anything wrong that can cost us

Saanjh : aunty, trust us, this time truth will win and Maya will lose badly, she will pay for her mistakes

They hear clap sarcasimly from somebody familiar. Much to their despair it is none other than Maya

Arjun ; maya? you

Maya : why? why did you do this to me

Arjun removes her hand from his face

Maya : now even my touch makes you disgust, am I so bad now

"Yes, I hate you, all the love from my heart is finished for you, and you have stooped so low that you trapped my innocent brother Arjun starts shouting

Maya : you don't trust me enough, why would I lie to you

Arjun : because thats what you are, liar and cheater, maybe thats why your parents have never cared for you

Maya is hell shocked on hearing it

Arjun ; you know what, just get out of here, take rest so you can get courage to face tomorrow's disaster (drags her hand out of house)

Maya is walking in rain without any emotion reaches her house. She goes in her room and locks it slowly sitting on floor after breaking things. Samay knocks on the door but she does not open the door and leans there.

Samay : Maya, please open the door I want to talk with you

"Go from here Samay, or you will regret it too Maya says softly without tears

Samay : I won't go till you talk with me, last time I left you and still regret for that, I won't do that mistake again

Maya : when you did no care before leaving me, why are you here ?

Samay : you might have forgot but I still remember your words from childhood, that

Samay means time who is never on anybody's side

Flashback

Maya and Samay were childhood friends since Samay and his family including his parents and 3 years old sister moved to the neighborhood where Maya lived with her parents. In course of time both grew closer but their parents were not able to accept their friendship. Samay was sent to boarding school for few years. However unknowingly Maya and Avni went to same school which everybody was unaware except Samay. The trio rejoices the moment not knowing of the storm. The families come to know about their relationships which causes them to separate again. Samay's family moves away from the place during Maya's 9th birthday. Memories stayed in their heart even after living far away from each other. Destiny reunites the three friends again when Maya and Avni studies in same college. Samay too joins them when both of them gradually fall in love. His mom agrees to their relationship after lot of hesitation but his dad does not accept. He and Ashwin tries to create misunderstandings but their bonding instead would get more stronger. However they play last move of get rid of Maya in a car accident. But the plan fails when Samay's sister Avni becomes the victim of their plan causing her to die. This creates rift between Samay and Maya when he blames his love to be the reason of his sister's death. He goes as far as he could leaving devastated Maya. She closes all doors of love till Arjun breaks those walls again she built around her.

Flashback ends

"I am sorry Maya for everything, my ego took over my love Samay sits outside the room

Maya : why did you come back in my life again, I killed your sister right according to your eyes

Samay : my friendship brought me back to you, our love might be burned not our friendship is still alive in my heart

Maya : I have nothing left in my life, go away from here

Samay : we are humans, even god can forgive 100 mistakes when we rectify that mistake, you and me both know Ayaan has not raped you, lets face the truth, years ago one small misunderstanding ruined our life, do you history to repeat itself

"If that is the case, then this is the time to prove the worth of our relation Maya comes out from her room

Samay ; this is what I want to hear from you, tomorrow set an example everybody will remember

Maya : fine but for that you have to tell the court the bitter truth we have been hiding from world

Samay : do you know what you are saying Maya, you know the consequence of this

Maya : few minutes ago, you were lecturing me on humanity, will you not support your friend

Samay ; fine, if thats what you want, I will also do that

Maya smiles at him

Next day in court another hearing starts

Ranveer : My lord, before you announce today's verdict I want to bring a witness who is prove what happened exactly that day, Mr Samay Ahuja

Saanjh and everybody are hell shocked to see him in court

Ranveer : My lord, this is Samay Ahuja, who is currently Ms Mathur's fianc, Mr Samay can you please tell the court what exactly happened that day

Samay recalls Maya's words to telling the truth only he saw.

Ranveer : I am asking you something

Samay : that night, Ayaan was angry and drunk when he went to meet Maya, I followed him but in the way my car broke down and it took me a while to reach her house

Ranveer : what did you see when you reached there?

Samay : Ayaan was on Maya and his grip was too strong, I pulled him up and then police came to arrest him

Ranveer : how was Ms Maya

Samay : her clothes were torn at that time and she was crying

Saanjh : objection My lord, just because Samay was there, nothing is proved by his statement

Ranveer : My lord, I want to tell court that Mr Samay is saying truth even after knowing Maya Sharma from long time, Mr Ahuja is getting married to Ms Mathur

All shocked and confused with certain questions arising in the mind

Samay : yes, I know her from past 17 years

Ranveer : can you tell the court how is she as a person, tell the court everything

Samay reveals their background story in front of court that blows everybody.

Ranveer : did Mr Ayaan raped my client Ms Maya Sharma

Samay stays silent again but remembers Maya's promise to support her throughout the whole case. He reveals there was no rape but instead a tussle between both of them. Ranveer shows another footage which actually shows Ayaan accidentally ripping Maya's clothes which was edited from the video shown previously in the court. Before the judge announces Jhanvi who is cured reveals to the court about Maya murdering Ashwin and paralyzing her. She was requested by Arjun to be witness against Maya in court but was not aware of court's most unimaginable decision.

Judge ; After hearing on both side's story, the court has come to conclusion that Mr Ayaan Sharma has forcefully barged in somebody's house and tried to put hand on somebody's honor, so he is convicted to attempt for physical assault with 3 years of punishment, and also Ms Maya sharma should be sent to good psychiatrist for treatment and once she gets cured, court will announce her guilty for the murder of Ashwin Mehrothra, Both families are blown with the fair verdict

Ayaan : bhai please save me, I don't want to go to jail

Vandana, Saanjh and Arjun stand helpless seeing Ayaan's condition while Samay tells Maya he will wait for her to come out clean from all crimes she committed.

Samay ; this time, I will wait for my old Maya to rise again, will you do this for our friendship ?

Maya nods positively and heads towards the team of doctors for her treatment.
