Did Vidya Balan take a dig at Kangana Ranaut over the Simran credit row?
Vidya Balan appears to have taken a dig at Kangana Ranaut in her latest Instagram post.
Kangana Ranaut's "additional story and dialogue" credit for her upcoming film, Simran stirred up a storm. The writer, Apurva Asrani, claimed that Kangana had used her clout to force director Hansal Mehta to give her a credit. Accusations went back and forth, with some siding with Apurva and the rest siding with Kangana. Now, Vidya Balan may have taken a subtle dig at Kangana.
Vidya's latest Instagram post is believed to be a humorous take on the Simran credit row. The actor, who will be seen next in Suresh Triveni's Tumhari Sulu, posted a photo of herself holding a credit card with the tongue-in-cheek caption, "Who needs credit when your director gifts you this card?! Thankoo Suresh Triveni."
Vidya Balan will be seen playing a late night radio jockey in Tumhari Sulu. This will be her second time essaying the role of an RJ on screen after Lage Raho Munna Bhai. The actor had told PTI that she was very excited for the film and believes that the character will "unleash (her) naughty side."
