Bad acting

Not a post meant to spread negativity, but I'm just making this out of curiosity. A lot of people say certain actors and actresses can't act. At times, i've agreed with them (and wonder why fans hype them up so much) and at times I've disagreed (and hence arises the question). But I've always been curious why people say certain actors and actresses can't act. Is it because you can't relate with their acting or is it because they're lacking some quality? Do mention some actors and actresses, including those on TV (including them as they form a big part of the entertainment industry too) whom you think can't act and elaborate on the qualities you think they lack. (Please don't turn this into a bashing post. Rather this is meant to be more of a constructive criticism exercise and a sort of study of what people perceive as good and bad acting)

Okay I got you and sorry for asking if you are NKapoor, the reason I asked is because whenever I see any ID that is similar to that name, it always reminds me of her that makes ID in every month to defend her lord Grover after getting banned over and over.

I think bad acting is when you can't pull out the role very well or when you do overacting, like the way SRK pulled his role on Darr, Bazigaar and K3, he was totally into his character which showed he is not acting but he is feeling the emotion of his character, then if u see Sonam and Kat on any movies, they r just like a barbie doll that can't pull so many roles.

Basically actors who're terrible in dialogue delivery, don't have a good command over voice diction/modulation, can't emote they're called bad actors.

I think those who can emote well with their eyes are good actors

I am a sound person. Voice modulation matters to me. I like AB Sr. Because of his voice. Kat is classic case of one tone acting. KR has thin voice. It's very noticeable when her voice shakes. Saif has weird accent, irrespective of the role. Sushant/anushkasharma race to finish their dialogue

I think if the actors hold your interest and make you feel for them, then it is good acting. Well...most of our films don't really need much acting really. Some looks and some screen presence will do it.

But my pet peeve is when people act drunk on screen. God! Such a cringefest. Especially the women. Somehow I just cringe watching women acting drunk scenes. Not one person looked real...for that matter I don't even know how real drunk women behave but whatever they show on screen is so artificial. The actors are not good either but actresses are worst.
