"Your eyes speak the truth when everything else is a Lie"
"I was thinking that now that everything is settled and you have seen the happy me, so you can return, I can manage ...Sameera Di Yash bhai everyone wants that", Geet said making Maan stop in his tracks and looked at her seriously, "Hmm...so that sums up Sameera's , Yash's and your feelings, what about me". Geet looked up to him to find her looking at her, she was left speechless. "Its happening again his words are so serious like that other time when he promised he will never marry anyone , why does his words make my heart beat faster , hes my family ...I want to be with him", Her thoughts again contradicted her words, and before they could continue, he got a call from his office. He looked at Geet and then turned to go to his car zooming away. Geet went to her school but his words kept ringing in her head, "What about me". "Geet, what are you worked up about", Dev smiled sitting beside her. "Maan, that idiot," She said angrily.
"Haha, what has Maan bhai done now that you are so annoyed", Dev laughed but stopped after earning a glare from his angry girlfriend. "I just said what Sameera said to me earlier that why not convince him to go back", She told. "And...", Dev prodded. "And I said it to him and you know what he answered he said its all about our feelings but no one asked him what he feels", She pouted. Dev's face now turned serious, "Why did you ask something like that to him. Geet, you remember how much worried he was that day when we returned, just because Sameera wants that you hurt him". Geet thought and understood. "I will apologize to him, thanks Dev, I'm happy to have you as my friend", She smiled.
They came out only to find Yash there, "Hey you two hop on". They got in his car, "So how was school". "It was good bhai", Geet said. "Hmm good, since Maan has been working so hard I thought I should pick you up once in a while for a treat. You still have that watch", He asked. "Ahh , he made it fit to my size", She told. "You know that watch was the first and the only thing he got for himself, my dad gifted him, but he was adamant on paying for it. He's a genius, he did it by making a new software and selling it online. I guess that is why my dad burdened him with more expectations. I feel guilty for that he is two years younger than me but with the educational system there we were in the same class and then he graduated before me with another raise, I really think it is you for whom hes been working hard it is like a part of his life so whatever you do never leave him", He said.
Geet understood how much she hurt him. "Ah, he must be here today on this site, it is the project my dad has burdened him with. I'm trying to find other ways round this whole thing though it will take time", He said. "Bhai, please stop the car", Geet said desperately. "I need to speak to him now", She said. Yash stopped the car. "I'm sorry Dev, I know we had our plans but I have to go now", She said hurriedly. Dev looked on and smiled sadly. "What happened Dev, you look sad, don't worry, you can go out in the evening right", Yash said. "Its not that but sometimes I feel I can't compete with Maan bhai", He said. "Ah are you comparing yourself with him, hey don't worry they are just family, Maan is happy in that", Yash said concentrating on the road while Dev just nodded. "I don't know why I feel so envious of Maan bhai sometimes", Dev confessed. "Hmm they are family, you have another importance in her life", Yash said concentrating ahead while Dev nodded.
Geet went to the site and asked a worker there for Maan. "Umm...could you please direct me to Mr Maan Singh Khurana", She said. "Maam, we can't let you enter or Sir would fire us", The worker feared the consequences. "Let her in", Adi said. "Adi bhai thank you", She smiled. "Come on in Geet, Maan Sir is resting there", He said. "Resting ..", She looked up to him questioningly. "Ah, yes Sir is cautious but today he sort of was not cautious and so...", He said. Geet went there to see him holding his head. "Are you alright", She asked. "Ah, I'm alr..", He stopped looking at Geet. "Geet what are you doing here", He asked surprised. "What am I doing here , what are you doing not paying attention. What kind of a boss are you worrying your employees like that", She scolded him."No Geet hes a role model for us just today hes not well", Adi said leaving them. "Is it because what I said this morning", She asked once they were alone.
"Geet do you really want me to leave", He asked seriously. "I'm sor..", before she could complete he said, "Like hell I would...I told you I'm here to stay, so what if you have friends a boyfriend and you will get married one day have kids but can't I just stay watching over you, can't I be just a little selfish". "I..I'm sorry, its not that I do not think about your feelings, its just that I don't want to be pampered this much ...", She cried. "I thought may be you will regret wasting your youth for me, I did not want that, did not want you hating me for that", She cried.
Maan hugged her, "Geet all the hard work I put in to find you and reach you is all a part of me now, why would I regret that. Just remember never say you would leave me or you want me to leave, I will lose my purpose of living".
She returned home to find Sameera waiting, "So did you talk to him". "I'm sorry but please leave Maan, I can't hurt him, please let him do what he wishes to, please let...",Geet pleaded. "How could you ...he has many memories with me", Sameera said. "He has something with me too. You have a family, but I just got mine, even if we are notrelated but he has something with me too, just please...let him be here", Geet said. Sameera just left from there angry at her. The diner was silent and Yash understood the tension between the two girls.
Next day Geet returned home to find Sameera packing. "Are you going somewhere", Geet asked. "Yes my mom is yelling at me to get back to the states for some formalities, I will be back by next week", She said rushing out. Geet looked at her retreating figure. She went to the Kitchen to find the diner cooked though they were not at good terms she could see that her culinary skills were amazing. Yash returned home and informed Geet that Maan could not come home today due to the new project. Geet helped him in preparing diner which they both had with Yash asking her about school. Geet could see how much Yash cared for her too like he did for his own sister and she felt secured with him too. Maan on the other hand kept thinking about Geet and her words.
Maan on the other hand was tired from this new project he was not getting proper rest and the conversation with Geet in the morning just took a toll on him. "What will I do ...if I don't word hard for her...I must keep working..I won't go back..I...", Before he could realize his eyes got blurry due to extreme exhaustion and he ended up falling down the stairs. "Sir...", Adi said finding him like this. He immediately called Yash and they took him to a hospital. "I would inform Geet", Yash said after admitting Maan. Geet was waiting outside for Dev as he was given the responsibility to help a weak student in her studies. "Hi Dev", Kia chirped. "Kia, why are you late", He asked. "I'm sorry", She said. "It's fine, let us start, tell me what do you need help with", He asked. Kia opened her textbook and showed him the questions. Dev studied them and solved them instantly, he was worried for Geet waiting for him. Geet got a call from Yash, "Geet ,listen don't panic okay ...I think I'm the one who should calm down first ..Geet...Maan had an accident".
Her world came crumbling down when she heard about his accident. "What...where are you", She cried. "Geet we have admitted him , please come fast", Yash said.
Geet rushed to the hospital crying her eyes out, in the fear of losing him. "Yash bhai, how is he...", She whimpered. "Hey don't cry, he is alright just a few minor scratches, don't cry, the doctors are checking on him. Ah, he always does that", He said. "It has happened before too," She asked surprised. "Yeah...I guess he has always been working like Robot ever since I met him, just to get back to you as soon as possible. You see that automatic watch you are wearing, if you take it out it would stop. It is just the same in him, if you ever leave him, his life would stop, so all I can say is never leave him. It seems like he has been carrying a burden on his shoulders, something he is hiding, so be with him always. There is something hidden in him which he has locked inside of him ...something more.My dad is really pushy , he is putting extra burden on him to make him go back but I'm trying my ways to get him out. He named me after his best friend. Uncle was very happy when I was born. My dad treasured his friendship that much ...but Maan after that accident which killed your parents have been keeping things to himself , please never let him go, do you understand ", Yash said and Geet nodded. "Hey guys, I'm back", Maan smiled. "I'm fine, don't worry", He said.
"You are fine you say, why won't you just take rest, have you ever thought what would happen to me if you were to die. I would have regretted ever living with you", Geet cried. "That would be as good as dying for me. Hey, now stop crying see I'm fine", He said. "You are going to take proper rest, or no more work for you, do you get it", Geet said. "Okay, let's go home", Yash said bringing out the car. They got into it. "Geet rushed from her school to get here", as soon she heard the news", Yash said while keeping his eyes on the road. "Oh no, I forgot to inform Dev about this", Geet said. "Oh my what a terrible girlfriend you are Geet, I feel sorry for that boy, anyone in his place would have dumped you long back", Maan teased. "Just shut up you moron its all thanks to you, I hope hes not angry", Geet said. They got home. "You should go in and spent some good time together, until Sameera is back", Yash said. "You are not coming", Maan asked. "No, I have to clean up my house to so go and rest", Yash said driving away. "You don't have to work that hard,"Geet said. "It looks like I'm a bad luck for you, if I was not there you would be enjoying your life like any 22 year old would not working like this", Geet cried.
"Hey, its alright, its not your fault, don't cry", Maan said. "I want to give you something, like you saved me I want to save you too. So if there is anything you are hiding any desire , I want you to let it all out", She said. Maan looked at her with an unknown emotion. "Hey save the sweet talk for Dev, now let's go, you are talking weirdly", He smiled. Geet went in opening her hair she looked at the house, "I'm getting the same weird feeling again like I know I'm doing something wrong but still don't want to let go ", She thought. She changed and called Dev, "Where the hell have you been. I was worried sick for you". "I'm sorry Dev, Maan had a minor accident so I just rushed to the hospital", Geet said. "Is he alright now", He asked. "Yes", She said. "Geet, you should have informed me, I was right there ..", He said. "But I was worried, I could not think anything, hes my only family and...you..", She said. "Geet, I understand that, I'm not asking you to ignore Maan bhai, but I just want to be the one you share your sorrows with too, may be I could have helped too. Its just sometimes I feel, I'm not as important to you as you are to me", Dev said. "No Dev you are, I'm sorry", Geet said. "No Geet its just that sometimes I feel in our relation, you just don't think that you ...ah leave it, lets meet up at school tomorrow", He said. They disconnected the call and Geet thought about his words.
"He is right, he is always there for me too but I...I should think about Dev more too...I should pay equal attention to Dev too like I do for Maan", She thought.
Maan had just came out for the shower and looked at her standing near the window, she looked beautiful with her face shining brightly in the moonlight and her long hair flowing due to the wind, her words reverberating in his mind, " So if there is anything you are hiding any desire , I want you to let it all out, I want you to let it out".
He came back from his trance and just rushed to his room shutting the door, locking it and called Yash, "Hey Maan , you missed me so much"."Hey Yash could you come back and stay with me here", He said. "Maan, my house is now covered in cobwebs and I'm cleaning the place, just relax", He said still trying to clean his place. "Is Geet pretty", Maan said after a pause. Yash stopped cleaning hearing his question, "What happened, why are you asking this, and yes anyone can see shes really beautiful, she will grow up to be more pretty", Yash smiled. "I..I thought I was the only one who thought that", Maan said. "Oh come on now, you will not start bragging that look my sister is so pretty man you are really a freak", Yash smiled. "It is because I'm a freak, I want you to come here, its because I thought if I'm the only one who thought she's pretty", He said. Yash understood the turmoil in his voice. "Hey, its okay anyone can see shes pretty. My sister is pretty too just that shes a nut case, don't worry not that I mind but I will back tomorrow happy, now sleep, I guess you really hit your head hard", He joked. "Okay",He said.They disconnected the call . Maan just dropped on the bed burying his head in the pillow trying to block her words...her thoughts. "Don't scare me like that ...you would make me want to steal you away".
So here's the next part, please do give your honest reviews regarding it, I'm trying to rush the updates so I could finish it on time, 😃😃if in any case I could not so I will continue it in July, sorry for the inconvenience ...
