Crumbling marriages have become a reason to worry for all. From taking all the vows of 'till-death-do-us-part' to emotionally tearing your partner 'till-he-jumps-for-divorce-to-the-rescue', marriage as an institution has indeed taken a beating. Even our B-Town hasn't been spared and we'd been witnessing a series of failed marriages in the recent times. Pinkvilla recently interviewed Kajol who's been blissfully settled in her married life for nearly two decades and asked her views on the same.
When we quizzed Kajol as to what she thinks could be the reason why a relationship is losing its spark, the Dilwale actress answered, "I think we're losing tolerance (and no, it's not an intolerance remark btw) it's about losing patience. We're just losing willingness to go that little bit far ahead or to give people their second chance."
Kajol, who married actor Ajay Devgnafter dating for four years on 24th February, 1999 had once shared what keeps their marriage intact. "I think our relationship has worked only because I speak a lot and he quietly listens. So the secret to our happy married life is that Ajay doesn't say much. And that we're best of friends."
Recently spotted at an event, K ajol shared why she feels there is so little room left for patience in a relationship. She believes marriages today have become more or less a commodity and it's less about the love you have for someone that can absolve every mistake and more about pouncing on your partner when he commits a crime. "We don't give any benefit of doubt to our partner anymore. Today, we're just waiting for the person to make a mistake so that we can pounce on him and tell, 'hey now I am one up there. Now you see.' I think marriages and relationships cannot be like that if they have to be successful!"
