I'll never understand the social norms of a society where a rape victim who suffered a horrific crime "lost her honour", and people who kill their children for daring to marry their own choice "restore their family honour". Honour has lost all meaning to this people, it's just a tactic to oppress and silence the victims.

Exactly I have heard it many times in BW movies 'Uss larke ne uss larki ki izzat loot li'-this doesn't make an ounce of sense 😕 what does 'larki ki izzat' have to do with rape?
