IPL might be a issue here, but we cannot deny that there is a gradual disconnect with Shivika these days. The episodes were very very nice last week to be honest but no one is buying this NKK track except younger generation. Unlike many viewers are saying Mahi track is not responsible for lower trp's. There were hardly any scenes last week.
My top reasons:
I feel this is a gradual disconnection to the Show from the audiences. Well IPL made it worse.
1. IB is only 5 days a week.
2. Youngsters are not comfortable watching romance on screen and Families cannot watch it together.
3. There is less sympathy for Annika, as she is in a happy land. Annika centric tracks do not work anymore.
4. Making Pinky as evil Mother in law . They decided to change her character Overnight. Show cannot constantly revolve around Shivika. People love to see family bonding. Need a parallel story line.
5. Most importantly, SSO needs to be Grey (unfortunately) and there needs to be friction for the story to move forward.
6. We never see Annika-Pinky scenes, Pinky-Shakthi, Prinku-Annika..there is simply nothing else to offer other than Shivika, which gets monotonous.
7. This week's Annika irritated me to the core. I had to skip the scenes and this never happens.
8. Simply the writing and story is not good. They can write some poignant scenes brilliantly but simply cannot do a better story telling.
