What would you do if you were in Arjun's place?

I've been thinking about this a lot lately. I know most people here think he's a spineless, brainless person but man, I feel for the guy. He's stuck between a rock and a hard place.

I didn't quite understand his dialogues about being in love with Maya despite knowing all the vile harkatein she does :/ But anyways, what I'm wondering is, what would we do if we were in his place?

The logical thing obviously would be to get your spouse some help. But something about Maya (and I credit Jennifer's great acting here)...is so f**king scary. It almost feels like she's a formidable force, and you can't get her to do anything she doesn't want to.

Could you imagine her response if Arjun went up to her and said 'I love you Maya, but I believe you need help. You need to see a psychiatrist, your behavior is evidently not normal and I want to see you work towards getting better'?

I get where he's coming from, by keeping her 'happy' he wants to lessen any chances of her causing harm to his family etc. but I wonder how long does he plan to live on like this? 😕

I don't know all that .. if I were Arjun ,I wud take Maya away leaving behind all those bunch of assholes... Like vandy, saanjh , jhanvi .. n honeymoon everyday

I would try to leak camera footage from the CCTVs to make the world know that Maya hits herself (as against the image of the wife beater that Maya has created in the world's eyes).

Then I would run for my life from that creepy house.

I doubt any kind of efforts to encourage Maya to seek help would work.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who thinks this way! 😆 I would definitely try to get her help, but if the person herself is not ready to accept - well there's really not much else we can do is there? I too would grab the footage and hightail it out of there. Probably take Jhanvi with me too.

Ok on a serious note... If I were him... I wud first up b a loyal person. That's what Maya wants right ... Win over her trust first .. then convince her to take help from a psychiatrist. Also I wud have assured here everyday .. that saanjh is just my frnd !! Nothing more.. never.

Am sure after this much effort... Maya wud take help from doc, trusted Arjun ... Go by his words. Am sure Arya wud have had a much much better married life .

I think IMO he has been quite loyal. Guy's been suffering with her for years, he still says he knows she's not an entirely awful person. Considering the situation and all that's happened, I don't understand what more he has to do to show his loyalty lol.

Eh woula coulda shoulda guess we'll never know what would've happened. I'm thinking at this point instead of off-handedly saying 'she's crazy' like it's nothing, he needs to seriously sit her down, tell her he's worried about her, ask her if, along with his presence and support, she'd be willing to see a medical professional. If she still goes batshit crazy, plots against him yada yada yada - well he needs to hightail it out of there. You can't help a person who isn't open to receive it.

Take Maya for treatment and not flirt around with other females 😆

I really don't understand where from questions of Arjun's loyalty comes. He has thousands of times made maya understand that saanjh is his friend only. But what she wants to understand, she understands, nothing else. Her soul problem is the distrust she holds for arjun. And do you really expect a person to keep loving someone who doesn't trust you a penny even when you hardly do something wrong, worth not trusting?

Arjun is the most struck person in the world. And very correctly said, she has such an aura that you cannot force her to do anything. She'll do what she wants. All Arjun can do is escape. Even that ain't possible I guess. He has got to know maya very well, but is a duffer that he married her so early, without knowing much about her.

Teenie weenie bit of info - Maya takes all the decisions in Arya relationship...where to go/when to go/if at all to go, etc etc etc 😊
