yeah Jack is a living legend. Personally, versatile is someone like Edward Norton. He is a total chameleon, goes deep into a character in a way that makes you forget any previous work you watched.

In HW even character actors are so versatile... Credit also goes to writing and character developing

Here character roles are much richer to play( atleast it used to be like that)

Kamal Hasan and Sanjeev Kumar. Two names that comes to my mind now. Especially Kamal ji! He is truly the university of acting 👏

Aamir Khan and Dilip Kumar are more versatile than Jack.

Jack although great actor have mostly been popular due to his badass, sociopath roles and ace dialogues (ala Nana Patekar)

Although he have played some different characters like in As good as it gets etc. But those are far and less

I'm unable to think of anyone(note that my exposure to BW is less), who can make such an impression or impact like Jack, he's on a different level --- a mere look from him is enough - cannot be matched because maybe it has a lot to do with that unique face of his', his smile/eyes, his personality in general, and added to it, his acting leave the impact... This person made good use of his facial features for his acting career...
