Today i definitely saw a very different neil in that second scene outside after anmol is arrested. He was so so concerned about avni in this scene that you could see that his anger towards her in this particular scene was mainly hurt due to the fact that she didn't trust him, that she once again lied to him.
But there were two other significant things about this scene apart from this. Neil was shocked and disturbed hearing avni say that she doesn't care whether she died as there is nothing left now. I think neil was hurt seeing avni so broken down, but also because it is through this track that he saw the real avni a little, The one who is emotional and vulnerable, as opposed to the feisty and short tempered girl he is usually used to seeing.
The third important thing was when he stopped avni when she said she is going, and asked her why we can't trust one another? Why can't we drop this wall of lies that is between us? The way he continued looking at her straight after he said this displayed that he feels a connection or bond with her, but he also recognises they both have placed obstacles between one another that they are failing to understand one another completely, and all this bothers him, as despite the distrust he has for her, he also has some kind of feelings for her, so he wants to put an end to what ever bad blood there seems to be between them. He wants to be friends with her, get to know her and understand her, which is why he took the initiative to remove the barriers between them.
Neil was so teary-eyed throughout most of the scene, but especially when DD came in to the frame and started convincing them to be friends. it annoyed me how they just cut off the scene and ended it oddly at both avni and neil holding hands opposite one another and just looking at one another, and without avni or neil saying anything, the scene cuts to them both having returned.I wanted to hear how they both reacted to this suggestion of dd.
