did SSO actually thought for a second that he is doing it for Annika?? Annika is doing it for shivaay but shivaay is doing it for himself bcoz he is more interested in knowing her NKK not in the fact that he can help her in knowing her family. If he wants her to know her family then he can directly ask her and explain her that why he is doing so but he can not as somewhere deep down NKK is there

Annika never said that she did not want to find out about her past or that she does not care about finding out about it. All she said was that judge me and accept me for who 'I' am not what Family, Blood and Lineage I come from. He has done that already and accepted her as his wife.

She left the house because she felt that he still held the NKK more important than their marriage but that was not the case. If it were he would not have gone to get her back and announced again to the whole 'chawl' that she was his wife. They all knew who he was - Shivvay Singh Oberoi : The leading Industrialist. So being married to her is not something he is ashamed of - he has proven that time and again. She is his wife and nothing changes that fact.
If he wants to know about who she is and where she comes from there is no harm in that from what I see. Annika never said she 'DOES NOT WANT TO DELVE' into her past - she just stated that she did not know about her past and there was nothing she could do about the fact that she was an orphan. He accepted that and infact even defended her to Om (of all people ...lol), Annika's biggest Advocate, that whatever had happened was not fault of hers.

Shivvay is right when he said "Surname hai toh Gothra bhi hoga". I totally, completely and wholeheartedly agree with him.
It is only logical and factual that that statement is true, and Shivvay always has dealt with facts from the very start (right or wrong that is not the point). He never takes things at face value but accepts what is presented if the facts prove it to be so (even with the Tia situation where Annika was trying to bring out her truth)
No child falls from the sky. They are born and if they are born they have parents and if they have parents they have a surname and if they have a surname they have a 'gothra' or as we say clan or lineage. No person in this world can say that they cannot trace their ancestry, everyone comes from somewhere.
Annika comes from somewhere but she does not know where. That is the only thing that makes her vulnerable to taunts and insults. He does not want his wife to suffer any of those anymore.She bared her soul and told him what the world had done to her since she was a child and an orphan, and as far as he could see, was still doing that even today (his mother)
Back then he was not around to protect and shield her from that pain but now that she was behind the 'Great Wall' and his protection there was no way he was going to leave her open and unprotected.

On a side note: Annika is finding out about Mahi which is not what Shivvay really wants and is a sore spot for Shivvay. So how is it that she can do it with the full authority of being his wife, for his benefit, but he cannot find out about her past with the full authority as a husband, for her benefit !

It has always been Shivvay who was obsessed with Annika from the very start. He fell in love with her way before she even registered that she felt 'something' for him. Of course he never said it and Annika admitted it first but it is Shivvay who connected with Annika on a 'I feel you" level where Annika has only just caught up with "mein tumhey mehesoos karti hun' one.

Annika was, always from the start, just being herself. She was never one thing with Shivvay and another with others. She was always constant in the way she treated him and other people. That is what irked Shivvay in the first place - that he was not treated any different than the others in her life. She gave Om, Rudy and Shivvay the same attention in the start and in fact she gave Shivvay less in the beginning.

Even now he wants to be the 'special one' in her life be it in comparison to even Sahil. I secretly think he put Sahil in the best boarding school only because he would have more of Annika to himself 😉

Shivvay, in comparison, was jealous of even his most loved brother Om dropping her home. He staked his claim on her even before they were married and with what authority I wonder ...lol
From the time she entered his life he has been obsessed with her. Either trying to break her spirit, defeat her with his power and money, monopolize her time, showing up everywhere she was and went, even buying a whole college (for heavens sake) to cancel a mere canteen tender.
He postponed his engagement, delayed his marriage and found every excuse in the book to not go through with the marriage with Tia Kapoor, which he claimed was the best thing that could happen to him and his NKK.
When Tia ran away and then Richa did a disappearing act on him he did not chase either one of the NKK girls down even though both their parents were still at the wedding ceremony and would have delightfully dragged their respective daughters back, by their hair, to marry him.

NNNOOO!!!! Mr. Obreoi chased and hunted down a helpless, defenseless girl who was running on foot to escape him, like a half crazed feudal lord. He used 4 cars and 6 bodyguards to cage in a single poor girl with no NKK. It would have looked to anyone watching the scene like SHE was his 'runaway bride', not Tia or Richa.
When she slapped him I somehow feel that it clicked in his head that the One Night Stand MU with Daksh was untrue.
He has done many things to Annika before that. Hounding her, throwing her in the pool and intimidating her, kicking down her door and God alone knows what else but she never ever lost her cool and resorted to ever physically assaulting or slapping him. That day the look she had on her face and the slap that followed gave him (I feel) the excuse to pick up right where he had left off - he was going to claim her back for himself and this time it would be irreversible. He was going to marry her and that would be his claim - legal and binding.
At that moment Shivvay took over and SSO diminished - that is why he made a decision with his heart not his mind.

At this point I truly think it is because she has to face the insults of the Family and society at large for not knowing where she comes from. Annika has shown pain and anguish at the thought of not knowing who she is the off spring off. She keeps reiterating to him that growing up without the love and protection of parents is a life no child should have to go through. This clearly shows that she pines for that love and that feeling.

He has accepted her as his wife and that is now in spite of zilch NKK - not even lower NKK as he thought it was. Sure he is doing it to satisfy his need as well but I seriously do not think it is just that. His wife will never enjoy the same status as Om's or Rudra's would by having her name written in the Family Books. She will never be able to let her children know where she comes from when they question her. She will have to, as Shivvay Singh Oberoi's wife, face a barrage of questions by the media who will tear her to pieces like the wolves they are.
As much as Pinky's words hurt him they were all true. How then will he protect her from all the speculation, gossip and vile rumors that the media will spread about her. He cannot keep her hidden within the OM walls forever and she will have to step out with him when he does his rounds of society. Will he want her to go through the same pain and humiliation that she faced on the puja day???
Yes. NKK may not have mattered to Annika when she was a nobody because of the society that she had to deal with. The middle class is very tame as opposed to the elite class tyrants. He has to give her the tools to fight them because that is the only thing that can break his strong Annika who is fearless at everything else life throws at her.

You can even ask this question to Annika, when she investigates Mahi. What does she want to accomplish? What if the result is something worse. What if Shivaay turns out to be Kamini's child, aka illegitimate? Wouldn't it just be better to leave things the way they are instead of trying to satisfy a curiosity?

Like I said, somewhere in this, Shivaay is not wrong. Annika should have the right to know where she came from. But at whose expense? These are just my thoughts on the matter.
