Abhay, absolutely wonderful post 👏 You have shared such interesting information. Shivaji Maharaj inspired the freedom fighters against British and he is a real inspiration to youngsters even today.
So is the case with Maharana Pratap. Radhika was discussing about history and different sides and interpretations. Do people remember the wars in detail really? It is the intent and the life these towering magnificent men devoted to nation building that is remembered today.
Lal Bal Pal so famous from freedom struggle. Shivaji Maharaj took inspiration from Maharana Pratap, it seems like history is a chain that is linking different events from different centuries in inspiring heroes to great deeds.
Maddy,
A person - Krishna Anant, who was a senior official in the administration of Shivaji wrote (probably the first) biography of Shivaji in 1694-97, staying at the Fort of Jinji with Chatrapati Rajaram.
In that biography, he has described the meeting of Shivaji and Raja Jai Singh of Amer. Raja Jai Singh addressed Shivaji as a descendant of the Udaipur Royal Family.
