Noor had a very poor first day as it grossed 1.25 crore nett. It looked the opening was going to be low but this low is a shocker because you would expect it to be close to the 2 crore nett mark. This leaves the film with hardly any chance as the first day has hardly shown an improvement so no way can day two show enough improvement for the film to even put up close to respectable numbers. The collections are not even 50% of other heroine orientated films like Phillauri, Naam Shabana and Begum Jaan and its not as if these films opened well.
Sonakshi Sinha who had a flying start to her career has seen rank bad films in the recent past like Lootera and Akira which found no appreacittion but this is another low all together. Its very poor cinema and you cant really expect the audience to turn up for films like Noor. Akira released around eight months back had opened to collections of 4.81 crore nett which was poor but this is a huge 75% lower.
Going forward there is little hope unless some miracle happens but thats a very unlikely scenario. the other films like Maatr, Ajab Singh Ki Gazab Ki Kahani and Ek Rani Aisi Bhi Thi hardly found an audience.
