this is always something that's made me wonder - the neighbours didn't see anything wrong with the idea of suman remarrying - not that they should - but if kalawati is going to use the excuse of what people will say then she must first see even if they are people to gossip about such stuff. none of them ladies appear to have the typical mindset that kalawati has - that is, a widow should not remarry, and anyone thinking of marrying a widow is committing a sin. its nice to see the show actually show that its not just the rich families that look above the previous marital status of a woman, but also middle class families are now accepting the idea of remarriage - this change is needed in the society...

the truth is kalawati uses "people/society/neighbours" as a weapon to put her point across - so its like her words/thoughts but put forward as though that's what people think/say. Like when she was saying to ranveer that people are talking about sumveer - it was all nonsense, if anything SHE herself has not liked sumveer's relationship since day 1 as she saw the signs earlier that sumveer will happen (i.e. she kept recalling ranveer throwing sindoor on suman accidently, then the holi incident etc. ) its all kalawati but since she's quite sly about it all, she uses other people as reference to make her point...
