I don't think the gender pay gap will equal.

The person who gets paid the most is usually the title lead. They usually have the most scenes and are used to market the film. Hence more pay.

If an actress is the title lead has the most scenes and marketed to help sell he film she is paid more than the supporting male cast.

Actresses who have done that in recent times to give a box office hit being the title lead.

If NH10 is a hit then so is Mary Kom.

Neerja had the same advantage that the upcoming Sachin Tendulkar movie has... people were rooting for the movie even before they saw it because of Neerja... to some extent same with Mary Kom, Dhoni, etc movies.. the others mentioned like the dirty picture, queen, nh10 didn't have that

Clearly Deepika is leading actress right now in Bollywood.

You agree she contributes to success of film and deserves high pay...

When her pay tends to be less than that of Ranveer and Ranbir (both having not delivered a clean hit since a long time besides ADHM) THEN THERE'S a HUGE PROBLEM

When in a same film Alia is paid less than Varun- 'RIGHT NOW' its justified because VARUN has proved himself time and again he is a very bankable actor/star.

But when Alia is paid less than a Shahid - besides former having more hit-to-flop ratio - THEN THERE'S A HUGE PROBLEM again

So it depends

Yeah but those movies had the advantage of good WOM. Mary Kom didn't have that.

what is the title lead?
if you mean titular character then piku
it was a proper hit
even the stingy and niche film basher
BOI gave it a clean hit.

That movie had THE Amitabh Bachchan in it for which he won a National Award for a lead role. I think TM means a movie where the actress carried the film.
