I dont get it. So like he was telling sanj he wants his love ( refering to maya) and is waiting for her marriage to end so he can be with her.

Wouldnt supporting Ayan and letting Sanj win would have been the solution. Because if ayan was proved to be innocent, Arjun would leave Maya. And then he has a chance for her.

How is supporting maya and letting Arya comes close helps him in his motive?

He couldnt openly support sanjh and ayan in front of maya

that would make his image worse in maya's mind

do u think if arjun left maya bcz of samay...maya would accept samay?

Well I mean, If Arjun leaves Maya because he knows that Maya made this rape shizzles up then maya would be all broken down and Samay would swoop in there and be there for her during her difficult time, and that would let samay come back to maya's life.

Wouldnt a normal person feel that?
