'Isn't Love Important?'

What happened to the guy who thought love was more important than responsibility of taking care of supposed baby mama and the child?

Mitu brought up a great point. I know Abhi initially thought he wasn't the baby daddy. But thats it. For like two episodes. And he thought Tanu was lying about being pregnant! NOT ONCE did he think or doubt Tanu could have cheated on him. And when he saw the reports at the hospital the next day, he never looked back at doubting whether that baby was his. So he took full claim of that baby and that he was having a child with Tanu, whether that was true or false in the real world.

At that time, he didn't understand (and he said this multiple times in LM track to LM too) as to why Fuggi left him when they both loved each other. When he confessed to her under the moon, like every other time, he was still Tanu's boyfriend who hadn't broken up or settled terms of their relationship. I always said he should have broken up with Tanu and then told Pragya he loved her. But he expected Pragya to pick love. "What about love? Isn't love important?" was what he had said.

Where were those principles then??? Us waqt usool ki baatein nahi, love overpowered everything at that time. At that time, there were more complications of why he should stick to Tanu-he was potentially having a baby with her! Currently, he's sticking to Tanu because her moms about to die. *insert crickets chirping*

Inconsistencies indeeddd. I'm not saying he made the wrong decision (well...) but I dont like the reason behind him deciding it was better to break Pragya's heart than Tanu's. And furthermore, his whole justification of how he likes to go by principles doesn't match with who he's been this whole time in the story.

P.S. This is ONLY about Abhi. So please keep comments restrained to him.

Abhi was someone who would never think of his loved ones cheating him.
For him, Tanu his loved ones.
Like dadi said, he was too blinb to watch

Loll Ayeshu I understand, but my point is is that his stances on whether love or responsiblity is important has NEVER been consistent. Flip flops based on whatever is his priority at the time.

Like Purab epically said today, Abhi's not just confused about love...he's confused about life!!

Yes love is still important to him. But choosing love over commitment was less difficult in the first situation. Him choosing to live with his loving wife is easier than him cancelling his wedding and choosing to marry the girl he loves. And also Tammi cleverly played the cards, she didn't ask him to honor her wish but she told him that she's happy that he's fulfilling her wish. He wouldn't want to disappoint her with the truth now. Abhi doesn't mind being straight forward to people whose opinion he doesn't care. The moments he displayed straight forwardness where when he didn't mind the other person's opinion or response be it Tanu or Pragya otherwise he doesn't like displeasing people with truth. Now all that he wants to do is to live up to Tammi's words because he doesn't want to look in the mirror and think "I am an irresponsible and insensitive guy who didn't consider a dying mother's wish or a girl's image but chose my love". He doesn't want to feel small whereas in the previous case, it's not like that if he chose Pragya - a husband choosing his wife can't be wrong, right?
I hope I sticker to the topic and my reply made sense.

Nivz, thanks for your response!!

Bold-LOVE and I like how you explained it. Okay one more quesition because I dont wanna put words in your mouth-do you think he chooses to pick the easier option then? The easier option then being picking his wife. And the easier option now breaking it off with Pragya vs breaking off a highly-publicized wedding with Tanu??

That's a tricky question Nainz!

I wouldn't say it's easier for Abhi to break Pragya's heart and continue his wedding with a girl whom he doesn't love for the girl's mother. It's a difficult thing to do and especially for someone who is not related to you or close to you (Tanu's mother is neither his friend nor his family yet). What I feel is, in both situations Abhi's decisions are about continuing life as it is. He doesn't like doing really really big changes. Abhigya were hubby-wife in the first case and his decision was to continue their marriage. Now Tanu-Abhi are honewale's and his decision is to continue with the wedding.

Did my answer really answer your question? 😆 Hope it did ;)

P.S. Abhi reminds me of Newton's law (sorry for the reference) - A body at rest or motion will continue its state of rest or motion, unless acted upon by an external force.

Nainz, that guy got in a car crash. He doesn't remember feeling that love might be more important than commitments. As far as he remembers, he is the rockstar who doesn't believe in love, only to find it unexpectedly with a so-called fan while engaged to someone else entirely (omg!! Sounds like a romance novel plot I may have to take this somewhere). What's the point of comparing him to what he was or did before memory loss?

But yeah, I have been saying this since yesterday, this is the reversal of the dynamics after that rooftop confession. That time Abhi wanted to choose love but was pushed in the direction of duty. This time he wants to choose duty...and we will have to see if love still finds a way!

Mina, you talk like both guys are different 😆

You remind me of Abhi treating Fuggy and Mugambo as two different persons.

Nivz, they are functionally different! Today's Abhi is not the same Abhi who experienced and was affected by being married to Pragya. If the choices he is making now are different than what he did before, it has to be considered that he has no knowledge or awareness of what happened before. It is not surprising if someone is inconsistent if they have no concept of their past behaviour.
