Raman was sitting fully worn out in the corridor waiting for some positive news..
That's when he got a call... It was from bala's number...
Raman : Bala? Ab kyun call kar raha hai... Kahin ruhi ke baare mein toh hai nah.. He picked the call wiping his tears and composing himself... Hello bala...
Ruhi: hello raman mein Bala bol raha hoon... She tried to change her voice and fool her papa...
Raman : ruhi... beta Aap kaise Bala ke phone se ...
Ruhi : offo papa... Meine itna koshish karke Bala uncle ki voice mein baat kiya par how did you find out its me... She asked with a sad voice...
listening to ruhi's voice tears automatically started flowing from his eyes.. his daughter's innocent act made his heart wrench.. he just wanted to crush her in his arms and cry out loudly sharing his pain with her, who else he have in his life... Other than these two precious people ... One is battling for her life and the other one, Poor little girl Without knowing that her mother was in a critical condition was trying to fool her papa around... Nothing worst than this situation he had faced in his life...
Ruhi: papa... Aap chup kyun ho kuch bolo toh sahi...
Raman : no... I should not break down in front of ruhi... Bechari dar jayegi... I should be strong for her, he thought and composed himself and spoke to her...
Beta... Where are you... Aur Bala ki phone se kaise baat kar rahe ho... Aap school se itne jaldi kaise aagai ho...
Ruhi : arey papa ruko toh sahi... Mamma teekh kehte hai... Aap itni choti si baat ko kitna parishan ho jaate ho papa...Today it is half a day for us... Mein bhool gai mamma se bolne ko... Aur Bala uncle ke saath mein aagai... Abhi mein shravan ke saath kel rahi hoon... Bus ya aur information chahiye... She just sounds like her mom... Thought raman...
Raman : teekhe beta... You Be there... Kuch parishan mat karo uncle ko... I will be there soon teekhe...
Ruhi: papa... Aap sad kyun sound kar rahe ho... Clever girl found out the change in the ever chirping voice of her papa...
Raman : kuch... Kuch nahi beta...
Ruhi : papa, mamma kahan hai... I called her... But she's not picking up the call... She said sadly...
That was it for raman... He knew verywell if he speaks few more minutes he would definitely break down...
Raman : ruhi... Mamma patients ke saath busy hongi...That's why she's not picking the call... You take care... I have an important meeting to attend... Papa will come home soon with mamma ok... That was more like giving confidence to himself than to his daughter...
Ruhi: teekhe papa... Love you bye...
He hung the call and crashed down on floor on his knees...
Raman : dekha ishita... Teri wajah se hamari rooh se kitna joot bolna pada... Why did you make me face this situation... Aisa kyun kar rahi ho ishita... When ruhi asked about you I almost died lieing to her... Aur mujhse nahi hoga... Please teekh hojao jaan... If not for me... Atleast for our rooh... Please ishita... Please... He was crying Punching his hands on the floor like a maniac...
Doctor came towards raman and called him giving a light pat on his shoulder...
He got up with jerk seeing the doctor...
Raman : doctor how is ishita... She's fine na...
Doctor : relax Mr.bhalla... Your wife is absolutely fine... You can go meet her.. But she is yet to gain her conscious... So don't disturb her...
Raman : thank you doctor thank you so much... He gave a warn hug to the doctor and Ran to see her with a wide smile on his face.. He saw her face after whole long time... He just wanted to take her into a bone crushing hug and cry in her arms... But he did not want to disturb her... He caressed her hair lovingly and pecked her forehead and settled beside her... He was waiting for her to gain her conscious.. just looking at her without blinking his eyes... As if she would disappear if he does so... After a wait of few minutes she finally opened her eyes slowly looking at him weakly...
Raman : ishita... Tum teek ho na.. He fell over her like a small kid in mother's embrace...
She slowly recalled all that happened between them... She dint not want to console him for all that he has done... But seeing raman like that is the last thing she will be able to take... When they were only mere friends she was not able to see raman breaking down in her arms... Now raman being her everything she would never let him break down like that...
Ishita : shhh... Shh... Bas raman... Bas... Am alright she said meekly caressing his back...
Raman : mere jaan nikal gayi thi... Aise kyun kiya tum.. Ruh... Ruhi.. Bhi call kiya... Mujhe ruhi se joot bolne pada... Ainda aise kiya na mein mardaaloongi tumhe aur mein bhi maarjaonga... He said in between hiccups... which she was not able to understand properly... But she was able to connect his feelings and what he was trying to convey her...
She verywell knew she was his life... Even he means the Same to her...
Ishita : raman bas baba... Get up... Kuch nahi hua mujhe .. Uto... She tried to pull him away...ahhh... She shrieked in pain as she forgot about the needle in the drips in her hands ...
Raman : ishita.. Kya hua... Dikao... He said holding her hands...
Ishita : kuch nahi hua... She said without facing him..
Raman : Toda dyaan rako ishita... He said pecking her forehead ..
She just closed her eyes to feel his love and care...
The doctor came in breaking their moment... He checked ishita and told that she is completely alright...
Raman : doctor... When will you discharge her...
Doctor : you can take her home tomorrow Mr.bhalla...
Raman : par doctor .. I want to take her home today itself... Hamari beti bahot choti hai.. Dar jayegi... Aur hum dono ki bina woh kahi aur nahi rahegi... He said looking at ishita... She was nodding her head as if accepting to raman's words...
Doctor : but Mr.bhalla, she has just recoverd from a major attack...
Ishita : doctor sorry to interrupt you... But mein kudh hi ek doctor hoon... I can take care of myself... Please aaj hi discharge kar dijiye...
Raman : doctor you don't have to worry... I will take complete care of her... Jaise hospital mein honge... Bilkul waise hi... She will be on Complete bed rest...
Doctor : I know Mr.bhalla... That you will take proper care of your wife... I must say mrs.bhalla aap bahot lucky ho... The way he was crying for you shows how much he loves you...
For which ishita gave a blank expression...
Doctor : teekhe il discharge her today itself... But let her be on observation for couple of hours then You can take her home.. But give me a call if there is some emergency...
Raman : sure doctor, thank you...

It was almost late evening when Raman stopped his car reaching thier society... He looked at ishita who was asleep due to heavy dosage of Medicine... He got down from the car and bend towards her to pick her... That's when vandu came giving a pat on raman's shoulder...
Vandu : raman.. Kya hua ishita ko... Watchman ne bataya that ishita is in very critical condition and you took her to hospital... She asked looking at ishita's sleeping form...
Raman : arey.. Don't ask me yaar... Meri jaan nikal gai... She had a seizure attack... Par ab teekh hai... Medicine ki effect se so rahi hai... Aur ruhi ko kuch mat kehna... Dar jayegi..
Vandu : sure raman... Do you need any help...
Raman : no... Thank you vandu...
Vandu : teekhe if you need any help please feel free to ask me... Am leaving now kuch kaam hai... Il meet ishu tomorrow morning... She said bidding bye to Raman...
Their conversation was heard by shravan who came following his mother to hand over her mobile... He gave her mobile and saw raman carrying sleeping ishita in his arms and walking towards thier home...
Shravan ran towards his home to inform ruhi about her mother's condition...
Ruhi: shravan jaldi aao now its your turn... Yeh lo dice...
Shravan : arey ruhi... Yeh sab chodo... Tere mamma ko kya hogaya... Tere mamma mar gai hai kya...
Ruhi: shravann... Aisa mat bolo I will not talk to you then... Aur tumhe mera friend bhi nahi banaongi... She said roaring in anger...
Shravan : arey ruhi... I just saw your papa carrying your mamma in his arms .. Teri mamma ki aankh bhi band thi... Aur I heard your papa speaking to my amma... Teri mamma ko na kuch attack hogaya hai... He said in a worried tone...
Listening to him ruhi started crying and running towards her home...
Raman made ishita lie comfortably on their bed covering her with a duvet and pecking her forehead...
Ruhi: mamma... Mamma.. She came running crying bitterly...
raman was startled by ruhi's cries and ran out of the room... And he picked her in his arms ...
Raman : ruhi kya hua beta... Ro kyun rahe ho... He asked wiping her Tears..
Ruhi: papa mamma kahan hai... Mamma ko kya hogaya... Mujhe mamma ke pass le chalo... She said crying even more loudly...
Raman : shhh... Shh... Beta mamma toh room mein so rahi hai... Come he said taking her to ishita...
Immediately she got down from raman's Arms and went near ishita and cried hugging her tightly ... Making raman confused of her behavior...
Raman : ruhi kya hua beta ...
She did not answer him she just snuggled more into ishita...
Hearing ruhi's cries and her tight hold ishita woke up and spoke meekly holding ruhi's face...
Ishita : rooh... Betu kya hua... Aap ro kyun rahe ho... She said hugging her daughter to her heart and wiping her tears...
Ruhi: mamma aapki aankh kyun band thi... Aur aapko kya attack hua... She asked caressing ishita's face...
Ishra were shocked listening to ruhi's question...
Ishita : ruhi... Mamma was sleeping baby isiliye aankh band thi... Aur dekho mamma ko kuch nahi hua... Mamma toh teekh haina... She said wiping her daughter's face that was shedding tears uncontrollably...
Ruhi: mamma please mujhe chodke mat jaana.. I love you more papa se bhi zyaada ... Mein aapko kabhi parishan nahi karoongi... Meri homework bhi time pe finish karoongi... Aur aapko tang bhi nahi karoongi... Il be a good girl mamma please mujhe chodke mat jaana... She said in between her hiccups holding her tightly not ready to part from her...
Raman's eyes too filled with tears seeing the scene in front of his eyes ...
Ishita : ruhi... Were will mamma go leaving my baby... Ruhi toh mamma ki jaan haina... Aur ruhi already good girl hai... Aur aap mujhe parishan kabhi bhi nahi karte ho... Fir mamma kyun aapko chodke jayenge... She said wiping her tears...
Ruhi: promise?...
Ishita : ruhi promise... She said kissing her cheeks lovingly...
Raman : ruhi aapko yeh sab kisne kaha... He asked settling beside ruhi... Ruhi was in sitting in-between ishra hiding herself fully into ishita's arms ...
Ruhi: mamma, mujhe papa se baat nahi karni hai... Bolo papa ko ruhi papa se katti hai... She said without facing raman... Completely snuggled into ishita...
Raman : arey... Par kyun... Papa ne kya kiya..
Ruhi : mamma, papa ko bolo... That he lied to me... Papa ne mujhe nahi bataya aap bimar ho... Tab meine call kiya tab bhi nahi bataya...
Raman was already broken from inside listening to his daughter's words he took her from ishita's arms and hugging her to his heart cried out pouring all the emotions that he controlled till now...
Both ishita and ruhi was shocked by his sudden break down...
Ruhi : papa... Am sorry... Please don't cry... Mein aapse katti nahi hoon... Please papa don't cry... Even ruhi started crying along with him...
Ishita : raman kya kar rahe... Aise kyun ro rahe ho...
Raman : mein aur kya karta... Mujhse aur nahi hoga ishita... Tum bhi mujhse naraz ho aur baat nahi kar rahe ho... Aur upar se ab ruhi bhi mujhse baat nahi karegi toh mein kya karoon... Aap dono aise kyun kar rahe ho... Aap dono ke bina mein sach mein mar jaaonga ishita he said hugging ruhi tightly ...
Ishita was not able to see him like that... She shifted closer to him taking him into a hug jamming ruhi in between them and patted his back to calm him down... He immediately wounded his arms around her placing his face over heart and weeping like a baby...
This little family cannot live without the other two... They were just pouring thier emotions finding solace in each others embrace .. Trying to get rid of all these negative feelings... And be back to their happy life...
