JNDSD~My take~ Saturday 8.4.17~ telling fibs
Children tell little lies or fibs to wrangle themselves out of sticky situations. Adults tell white lies.. often harmless and well intentioned untruths. Sometimes adults can tell lies for strategic purposes ..i.e to save the day as it were. Basically ,to tell a lie or manipulate a given situation for some greater good. In the episode some on the spot strategic thinking happens in a problem solving situation. Have to say its Vividha who takes a lead in the episode. Supported by Atharv and Ravish both respectively.
Vividha assists this runaway bride in dressing up as per demands of the girl's so called boy's side relatives who turn up to claim her. What strikes me is Vividha's dexterity in dealing with people suffering from memory loss. Also how she fits into the role of assuming responsibilities of the young DIL. She works out its best if she dresses the bride as they are the same age and can relate best to her than the older women in the family. In her manner there is a certain understanding of the girl's situation. Although to her every question this girl refers to her memory loss. If this runaway bride puts it on? Then she shows vigilance when she sees one ornate piece, she shows a faint recognition ,but nothing significant. Vividha does show concern about the girls seemingly disquiet willingness to go with these people.
The wedding party waits in the drawing room. Silently Ravish and Atharv observe this lot for any tell tale signs. Ravish interrogates about the girls next of kin. Conflicting meandering stories are given and both brothers sit not amused. Eventually Atharv goes to get the girl. As wife to her husband Vividha shows concern about the safety side of the run away bride going with the claiming boys side. Atharv strikes me as very keen to get rid of this strange girl. He reminds Vividha the people waiting for her are in response to the notice in the newspaper.
Being a parent of a young child makes Vividha extra clued on to safety issues. Once taken before the people Vividha again looks to the girls security and asks her if she recognizes the people here for her? The bride of course, hasn't the foggiest idea, to which one of the crooks suggests its probably aftermath of the accident. One resistance the bride does put up is when the female accomplice of the group grabs her arm forcibly.. it's enough to blow the whistle. Things get from bad to worse. Madhav spots the gun that drops unceremoniously out of one crooks back pocket. This is sign is enough there is some suspect , unlawful activity. Simply by his eyes Ravish signals to Atharv to hammer one crook from the back at the ringleaders head.
There is fisticuffs by the brothers against the crooks for suspicious activity.. much of blood brawn. Vividha observes the verbal skirmish between her camp and the enemy camp. The crooks appear to be winning in both argument and muscle power in taking the girl.. Vividha pulls a fast one, rather pulls this out of the air !and commands they cannot take the girl or else the law will be sought. Her command has no effect on him as they have every right to do so..as the bride is to betrothed into their family. Sheer ingenious and great extempore vividha shocks both the crooks and her own family by declaring ..not really! as she is a bride to be, from their family. Ravish,Atharv expand their eyes and leave it in self willed Vividha's hands. The head crook makes a distasteful gibe at her, is she to be married to her husband??? This is quite a remark.. is some pun intended here? Vividha ignores the flippant comment gives Ravish one appealing strategic look and retorts .. no actually she is meant to be Ravish's bride, as they love each other! Ravish just obeys and goes along Vividha's take. The crook too is smart and tries to catch her out. If that is the case then why in heaven's name did Ravish give the advertisement in the newspaper?? He is slapped down with Vividha's presence of mind! when she retorts it was her husband who put the ad in the newspaper , as he was unaware that Ravish and this girl love each other. Vividha seems to overpower them with her arguments and thus goes ahead and intrepidly reminds them if they commit the stupidity of taking the bride.. they will be guilty of kidnapping annex- army's fiance and iif they get caught not even the politicians and higher officials can save their hides! So Vividha saves the day and the crooks mutter threats as they leave..
Well Vividha's fluke works and as it stands she gets praise from the senior citizen dadi, also the upright Sujata that she took the right decision. Its the order of the moment hence the girl too now offers her thanks to Vividha, and feebly confesses before all yes she didn't know then, plus she was afraid of them, she considers herself lucky that she bashed into Ravishs car.
It's this girl trying it on with Ravish? Vividha in return goes and embraces the runaway bride as if she was her future SIL! The girl however has her eye set on Ravish and thanks him for saving her live. Ravish assures her if it was another in his place they would have done exactly what he did. He tries to be distant and objective . but then in the next bit he includes this stranger into his fold, when he tells her she shouldn't feel she is on her own as this whole family is here for her, besides she will be safe here. So it appears that Ravish is very nearly asking this girl to stay .
Second thoughts.. dadi asks Sujata in private if it was a good idea to let this girl stay in the house indefinitely? Both women think perhaps not. Seems now Atharv is not the only one who doesn't really trust this woman. Vividha and Ravish are though, more inclined towards keeping this stranger.
This episode.. as anticipated was rough.. belongs to Vividha who fibs but for a good reason.. Atharv gives the impression that he reckons she is gullible.. on the other hand the damsel is distress plays dumb , works with someone as shown in the precap. She clearly reports to someone on the phone, that contrary to her expectations she is part of this family's fold. She is far from what she appears a destitute vulnerable woman... however the episode also deals with much to our amusement fast track wedding in the making and good old memory loss.. hamlet53 9.4.17
