Vicious Love----RN-LRL

Hey guys,

Ok so I have had this idea for a long time, but never had time to write it down...It is based on Naina and Raj...but with small twist and turns...Just a head's up, this story is going to be a pretty slow-moving one!

P.S Not proof-read yet; also please mind that Hindi is not my language so if you cannot understand something left me know and I will add the english translations like Abhilasha

Chapter 1

I am back, back at the place where everything started. Back where I met the most important people in my life. It is the same place, the same building, the same structure. There is still that raw energy of patriotism and determination surrounding the entire area. "The place might be the same...but I am not the same" I think to myself.

As I stand outside the main gate, I can't help but think of all the bitter-sweet memories I had made in this place. A single drop of tear escapes my eyes, which I immediately wipe. With one deep breath, I dragged my luggage inside the gate of the one and only Kanchanjunga Military Academy. Stopping by the fire, I paid my respect to the fallen officers and continued walking to Brig. Chandok's office.

After knocking on the BC's door, I entered his office and as expected he was joined by MC, who was sitting there with a smug on his face.

"Major Naina Singh reporting sir" I stated as I saluted and stood at attention.

"Welcome back to Kanchanjunga Military Academy Major; KMA khush-kismat hai ki aap wapas aa gayi hai" came the replied from Brig.

"It's an honor to be back sir..." I stated with a small smile as I handed him my transfer letter.

"All right major...app Mondays, Wednesdays aur Fridays cadets ko guerrilla warfare ka instruction dengi. Tuesdays aur Thurdays app advance weapon combat handle karangi. Saath hi saath ek major honay kay naathay aap ko 1^st year cadets ka warm-up or cool-down drills ki responsibility di jaa rahi hai. Yeh bohot sari responsibilities hai, I understand but major honay kay naatay aap ko yeh sab nibhana hoga. Any Questions?"

"No sir...but, I have a request" I responded

"What..." Curtly asked MC giving me a mean look; completely ignoring him, I turned to BC and stated "I want to be assigned the same room that Naveen Singh Ahluwalia was assigned to when he was here."

"Yeh possible nahi hai Major" Nair stated

"Kya mein puch Shakti hoon aaisa kyun?"

"Aap bhi janti hai ki uss room ko as evidence block kia gaya hai, aur jab tak Headquaters uss file ko officially close nahi kar detay, woh room re-assign nahi kiya jaa shakkta hai" Replied Beg. Chandok

"Woh already desh-drohi sabit ho chukka hai, magar pata nahi HQ ne abhi tak yeh file officially close kyu nahi ki" Nair said with disappointment and Curiosity.

"Toh, Major aap ko yeh jan kar khushi hogi ki HQ ne iss file aur case ko officially close karnay ka faisala kia hai" I said as I grabbed a letter from my back pocket and handed it to Brig. "Terrorism Investigator Col. Malik wanted me to hand this to you"

Brig. thoroughly studied the letter and handed it to Maj. Nair.

"Aab toh koi problem nahi hai na, mujhe woh room assign karne mein" I asked. Brig. Chandok gave me an exhausted look and said "Maj. Woh karma pechle 2 saal se band hai. Ussay saaf karnay mein kam se kam 1 ghanta toh lagayga."

"Toh sir tab tak mein mess mein wait karlungi. Jab room saaf ho jaye toh orderly se keah kar mujhe inform kar dena" I said walking out the door. As I was about to open the door, Brig. called me from behind

"Maj. Singh aap ek hoshiyar soldier hai; Mein nahi chata ki aap aapne past aur aapnay personal life ko aapne kaam ki aaday aanay day...aap samaj rahi hai na"

"Bilkul waisa ka waisa he hai" I stated to myself as I looked around the mess. Sitting down I asked an orderly to get me a cup of coffee.

"Naina putter" I heard a heavy voice say from behind me. Looking back I saw a middle-aged man looking at me with almost teary eyes

"Suri ji" I said in a barely audible whisper before bending down to touch his feet. I felt his hand rest on top of my head and I got up.

"Bataya kyu nahi, ki yu aa rahi hai?" He asked sitting down.

"Woh actually sab kuch itna jaldi hua toh phone karnay ka time he nahi mila" I answered

"Haan bhai, aab toh major ban gayi hoon. Ab iss Subedar Surendar Suri kay liya time kaha hoga" He teased with a playful smile.

"Suri ji, aaise baat nahi hai" I stated

"Oai Putter ji, mein toh bas tumhari tang kheech raha tha" He stated "Waisay sach kahu toh, bohot khushi ho rahi hai tum hai yaha dekh kar. Yaad hai jab tum sab Cadets hua kartay thay toh kitney mastiya kartay thay."

"Naadan thay hum suri ji. Duniya dari nahi aati thi...zindagi ek majak tha humaray liya. Magar aab zindagi aur wakt hai sab shika diya." I said

"Magar phir bhi, khabi khabi toh academy mein beetaya huya din yaad toh aata hoga na?" He asked

"Yaad toh aata hai, bohot aata hai. Woh samay hi kuch aur tha. Na kal ki tension na duniya ki parva...bas masti bharay time tha...magar Suri ji, time khabi nahi rukta. Wakt ko srif aagay badhna aata hai, aur aagar aap wakt kay saath saath nahi chal shakay toh peechay choot jatay hoon...aur mujhe pehechay reahena manjoor nahi" I said with a straight face "Is liya beetay huay baat choodiya aur yeh batayea ki academy mein kya naha chal raha hai"

"Kya bataoon, zayda kuch nahi badla...haan magar iss saal kay 1^st year cadets kuch zayda hi undisciplined hai" He said and gave a small chuckle.

"Humaray batch se bhi Jyada undisciplined" I said with a cheeky smile

"Nahi baba...tum sab jaysa batch na aaj ta tha, na hoga" He said while holding a laugh. He suddenly got this serious look on his face before saying "Tum hai pata hai na ki woh bhi yahi..."

Without letting him finish I said "Mujhe sab pata hai"

"Aur tum hai koi problem nahi hai" He worriedly asked

"Jo past hai ussay past mein hai reaheyne dijiye...aur suriji, mein yaha aapnay kaam karney aayi hoon iss liye kyon yaha hai aur kyon nahi iss se mujhe koi farak nahi parta"

"Magar phir bhi ku..." He objected

"Main ne keh diya na, toh bas koi problem nahi hai" I said a little sternly. Right then the bell went off and the mess soon got flooded with the cadets. My eyes fell on a group of 5 cadets walking in...for some reason they were different then the other cadets. One of the cadets saw me and waved off his friends who was talking and started walking towards me. I raised my eyebrows in a questionable way as the cadets sat in the chair in front of me.

"Oai hoi...itni khoobsurat Janani ko aaisay aakalay baaitna nahi chahiey" He said in a flirtatious way.

I tilted my head a little before saying "Toh kis kay saath baitna chahiey"

He gave me a smug smile before saying "Mein hoon na" He then stretched out his hand for me to shake before saying "Cadet Amardeep Huda"

By this time his friends were standing around the table. I looked around at their faces and instead of shaking Cadet Huda's hand, I folded my arms in front of my chest and said "Major. Naina Singh...KMA ki nayi faculty"

A look of horror crossed the cadet's face and he awkwardly pulled back his hand "Sorry Ma'am" he stated

At that moment an orderly walked in and said "Ma'am aap ka karma ready hai" as he handed me the keys. I grabbed the keys from his hands grabbed my bags and said to the cadets "See you around cadets"

As I walked toward my room, I stumble and trip on something...I closed my eyes waiting for the fall but instead of the cold hard floor I fall into a warm and strong arms. Feeling his arms around me sent shivers through my spine and a familiar warm feeling rises in my heart. Without opening my eyes I know who the pair of arms belong to because there is only one person in this world who can make my heart skip a beat.

"What the hell" I hear someone say and I immediately came out of my thoughts and picked myself up. Seeing the person who spoke shocked me because I hadn't expected them to be there.

The person who had spoken walked up to me and said "What the hell are you doing here"

"Tum se matlab?" I questioned

"Matlab hai...aap ko jo damage karna tha woh kar chuki hai, aab kya chati hai" She said

"Cadet Gehlot...aap iss wakt aapne senior se baat kar rahi hai, so mind your tongue" I stated to Sherry, who was wearing a full KMA cadet uniform. I then turned to the person who had held me and said "See you around Capt. Rajveer Singh Shekhawat" I stated and took a deep breath before moving towards my room.

Chapter 2

Entering the room I took a deep breath and began unpacking my things. I finished putting away my clothes in the dresser. I fished around my bag until my hand landed on the object which I was looking for. I pulled my hand out of the bag and like expected I was holding a taweez...Naveen bhaiya's taweez.

"Knock Knock" I said standing at the door of KMA infirmary. Dr. Shalini, who was busy in some paper work, looked up from behind her desk. Seeing me a look of pleasant shock and surprise.

"Naina, tum yaha kya kar rahi ho?" She asked getting up from behind her desk.

"Transfer hua hai" I said giving her a hug. "Kaisey hai aap?" I said

She asked me to sit down as she made her way around to her chair.

"Mein theek hoon, tum batao?" She asked

"Mein bhi theek hi hoon" I said with a small smile

"Raj se mili?" She questioned and I nodded my head in positive. "Kuch kaha uss ne?"

"Nahi Shalini...kuch nahi kaha" I replied. A look of sorry crossed her eyes, and I didn't want her to feel sorry for me, so I changed the topic. "Waisey Sherry se bhi mili me"

"Oh...woh kaisa raha?" She questioned with a small playful smile

"Bohot badal gayi hai...badi ho gayi hai. Aur mujhe se bohot nafrat bhi karti hai"

Shalini reached across the table and gave my hand a squeeze "Don't worry Naina, time ke saath sab theek hoga"

"Time kay saath kuch theek nahi hoga. Jo hua ussay time bhi theek nahi kar Shakta" I said

Shalini was about give a reply when the bell rang.

"Dr. Shalini" We heard a voice from behind us as we were about to enter the mess. Turning around, I saw the same group that I Met' in the mess.

"Yes Cadet..." Shalini replied looking at the lean looking male.

"Woh ma'am, mujhe app se puchna tha ki woh humara assignment jo tha...woh kal...jo app keah rahi thi" The poor caded studdered, fluttering a little.

"Kyon sa assignment cadet?" Shalini asked confused

"Ma'am jo woh class...kal..." He said

"Oh ho Cadet" Shalini said a little frustrated "Aap kya kehnay ki koshis, mujhe kuch samaj nahi aa raha hai. Woh assignment ka koi topic toh hoga"

The girl from the group stepped up and placed her hand on the boy's shoulders and said "Ma'am, kal aap ne humaray sim card mein Emergency First aid ka data upload kia tha na. Yudi ussi project ki clearity kay liya call kar raha hai"

My eyes widen hearing the girl talk, because I hardly understood what she said, but seems like Shalini understood because she replied "Thank you Cadet Ghai, aur Yudi tum mujhe yeah saaf saaf nahi keah shaktay thay. Iss kay baray mein hum kal class me discuss karangay. Abhi kay liya, go and eat your dinner. All of you"

Immediately the cadets scrambled inside the mess and we also made our way inside.

Sitting down with a plate full of food, I looked around the mess for either Sherry or Rajveer, but they were nowhere to be found. While looking around my eyes fell on the group of cadets. The one that tried to flirt with me earlier had a playful smirk on his face while the girl and a guys sitting next to her looked very irritated. The one that talked to Shalini outside was looking very confused and the final Cadet was staring off into space. Shalini probably saw me looking at them because she said:

"Interesting bunch right?"

"Yeah...What's the story?" I questioned back wanting to know more about the Cadets.

"No Story" She said and pointed to each of the cadets and said their name "That's Cadet Ghai...She is really sweet. Woh hai Cadet Ali Beig...Very determined and strong mind. Aur woh hai Cadet Yudi...thoda under confident hai but potential bohot hai...that's Alekh, uski past kafi dark hai aur is liya dusro se kafi dur reatha hai...And finally that's cadet Amerdeep Huda...KMA ka biggest flirt, ladki dekhi nahi ki suru hota hai..."

"Navin se bhi bada flirt?" I questioned amused at the dynamics of the group

"God no, mujhe nahi lagta ki Navin se bada firt koi ho Shakta hai" She replied chuckling "Yaad hai ek bar MC ne Navin ko ladki se flirt kartay huya dekh liya tha..."

"Aur uss ladki ko Navin ko rakhi ban ni padi thi" I finished her sentence. We both busted out laughing as we remembered the crazy time spend together. Just then Rajveer and Sherry entered the mess and they instantly saw me. Seeing my expressing change, she place her hand on top of mine and gave a tight smile.

She didn't say anything...She didn't have to. Shalini was always like this. She spoke no stop about silly things or gossips, but when it came to more serious matters she didn't have to say anything. What was in her heart was always evident on her face, and that's what I have always loved about her.

I watched and Sherry grabbed her plate and made her way over to the table where the 5 cadets were sitting. Rajveer, with a plate in hand, looked around for a place to sit like a school boy wondering where to sit in his first day of school. I understood that Shalini and Rajveer probably ate together and because I was sitting with her, he couldn't...or didn't want to.

"Captain Shekhawat" I called out and shalini gave a surprised look while Rajveer looked completely shocked. He pointed to himself as if to ask "me?" I nodded my head in positive and he made his way over. I got up from my table "Don't sacrifice your dinner partner for me. Aur waisay bhi mera khana ho gaya hai" I said moving away from the table.

"Naina...it's ok. You don't need to leave?" I heard him say. Hearing his voice after two years, flooded my brain with precious memories, and all I wanted to do was run into his arms but I controlled myself and turned around to face him.

Entering my room I crashed in my bed and let the tears I had been with holding with me let loose. "Come on Naina...tu itni jaldi himmat nahi harshakti. Tujhe KMA mein reah kar bohot kuch karna hai" I said to myself like a little pep talk as I wiped my tears. I walked in the bathroom to freshen up and when I existed someone was knocking on my door. Thinking it was Shalini I opened the door, but to my surprise I found Sherry outside my door.

"Cadet Ghelot...Aa piss wakt yaha. Is everything ok?" I questioned concerned that something might have happened

"Oh please stop the drama and stop pretending like you care. Mein yaha bas yehi kehney aayi thi ki app ka jo bhi adgenda hai woh kabhi puri nahi hoga...mein honay nahi dungi. Aap ne ek baar hum sab ko already bohot hurt kar liya hai...phir se karne nahi dungi mein...Have a good night" With that she turned on her heels and left as Shalini made her way across the hall to my room.

She had seen Sherry leave so she asked "Sab theek hai na?" I nodded my head in positive and invited her in.

"Kyu buliya tha mujhe?" She asked.

I walked over to my closet and opened the drawer with in it. I grabbed a ring that I knew would be there. I walked over to Shalini and handed her the ring.

"Naina yeah" She said looking confused

"Yeah Ahluwalia khandan ki pustany aanguti hai" I said

"Woh toh theek hai, magar yeah mujhe kyu day rahi ho?" She asked

"Yeah ring maa ne bhaiya ko diya tha...yeah kay kar ki jab unay ghar ki bahu mil jayay yoh yeah ring...aur yeah ring bhaiya ki body se mili, matlab he was carrying it with him.Shalini I think he was going to..." I said, but could finish as Shalini finished it

"Propose. He was going to ask him to marry him" She said sobbing. Tears were running down my face as I washed Shalini twist and turn the ring in her hands. She looked up at me and her teary eyes met mine. "I miss him so much Naina. Woh kyun hum ko chord kar chala gaya? It's not fair. I miss him Naina"

That night I cried like never before, maybe because I finally found the courage within to start accepting that Navin was not coming back. May it was the case because I had found a shoulder to cry on or maybe I was tired. Tired of keeping my emotions and feeling locked up and maybe seeing KMA again was the final straw and maybe that's why I finally let loose.
