She was so beautiful. She acted also well. I think she has the potential. Now she is married to Vikas Oberoi, Promoter of Oberoi Construction.

I have always wondered why she didn't work again. She has this high profile debut against Shahrukh Khan.

Perhaps it was her personal choice. Does anyone know anything about her?

and you know what is shockingly worse..she lost best debut award to ayesha for Tarzan..i mean W*F!!

I remember Swades but honestly I don't remember her. Perhaps because she was not memorable.

If you debut against with SRK, with his screen presence and charm, you need to be as beautiful and memorable as a Deepika or a Anushka and stand out on your own. They are here still because from the beginning they stood out. Otherwise kiss the career goodbye.

I think that there was no memorable song featuring her. And she did not do any latka-jhatkas. She played a simple woman. No glamour. But everyone gets a second chance. She did not do a single movie after that. It's hard to believe she didn't get a at least single offer of movie after Swadesh.

Look at Bhai's filmography, it is filled with one hit wonders. If you debut with a superstar with a strong screen presence that is the risk you take.

Deepika's films after OSO were largely bad and forgettable before Cocktail, but she was not. She had beauty and screen presence from the beginning. Beauty off screen that does not translate onscreen will not work, screen presence though is so important. I just can't remember this person's face and believe me I have seen Swades multiple times.

There was a romantic duet that AR Rehman had composed for this film but the makers left it out to avoid making the film too long/lose focus.

completely disagree.

watch the movie and u will know that her scenes with SRK had so much undercurrent. sizzling chemistry. No DP, Anu could ever bring that.

Songs were amazing and she was beautiful maybe she didnt have contacts.
