If there is one Malayalam movie that needs to be brought to Bollywood it is "Banglore days". The movie is tailor made for young actors. The songs were good too. With stories about 3 cousin crossing path as they successfully navigate their career, life and new place, "Banglore Days" is a wonderful coming of age movie that needs to be done on Hindi screen.

Nivin Pauly, Dulquer Salmaan, Nazariya, Parvathy Menon, Nitya Menon,Isha Talwar and Fahadh Faasil did a wonderful job in original. So who would be you choice for the movie. Sorry. It can't be any one from Khan or Kumar or even Roshan's age group. Strictly young actors I am afraid. I take dibs on Fahaad's role for Ranbir.

Just dub the movie in Hindi. BW would destroy the freshness and real life authenticity of the movie with it's unrealistic scenarios especially if it is a Dharma movie.

As we saw with OK Jaanu vs OK Kanmani there are certain South movies especially Malayalam that will not translate well into BW if remade. It's like trying to remake Bahubali in Hindi, who will you cast ? Best dub the version in Hindi.

Ok Kanmani was not a fresh concept for Bollywood. Salaam Namaaste and then plethora of movies have covered it. Bollywood audience is moving towards more family oriented audience. And this is perfect family movie. While I do know Karan does go overboard, he has nice directors like Shakun working for him. I should have added disclaimer though however much I love her - No Alia in role of Naazariya. The girl needs to be fresh.

The South I think is more conservative than BW, CP. I could tell OKJ would fail just based on Dharma and the cast. It is not concept that was overdone or not fresh IMO, just the movie scenarios in Hindi were not authentic enough. Plus the acting was very weak compared to the South. Shradda and ARK were just bad and direction was bad too. ARK and Shradda just could not bring what DQ and Nithya brought to the screen IMO.

ManiRathnam has an old movie called Mouna Raagam in Tamil that explores relationships between two people really well and intimately. It's from the 80s I think. OK Kanmani was that version of today's relationship IMO. After a long time it had that punch. That is why it succeeded IMO. I hope the Hindi and Tamil versions of OK Jaanu song demonstrate the point I am trying to make.

Moun Ragam is my favorite Revathi movie. Agree ARK and Shraddha are bad and they made matter worst. But if BKD, Dangaal are any indication, Bollywood audience is split. Dangal I can understand but BKD is bland with good songs and Varun-Alia chemistry. All it has going for it is, it is clean movie. And the word is getting repeated everywhere.

I have a feeling after 2016's debacle, Bollywood will go for something more conservative and crowd pleaser movie.

OKJ bad direction contributed too. The director is a mini KJO trying to be cute and not having authenticity. I have written enough essays on why BKD is not a family movie for me so won't bore you on that one 😳😆.

I hope they make good movies not just crowd pleasers. Dharma will recover, Bahubali will make monster money and KJO will take his share. He is a shrewd investor.

I love Bangalore Days! It is one of the best movies I have seen in a long time. It has been remade into most south Indian languages, wonder how come Bollywood missed it.

Nazriya and Nivin were the best, IMO 😳. Nazriya is damn cute!

Did someone just mention Mouna Raagam😳 One movie that I could watch anytime anyday without getting bored.

And OKJ,I don't think the original OKK itself was something of MR's standards, I believe it was the leads that made it work otherwise nothing much to write home about. Also I think not everything that works in South works for North audience like Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaya (that Prateik- Amy movie ,forgot it's name). Like Justmoi pointed out the South audience is still conservative,so they can accept a girl giving up love for parents.

And OT- It was remade in Tamil and it was Meh. You can find replacement for DQ and Fahad.Not Nazriya and I don't think anyone can play that chambu role better than Nivin and make it endearing too😆

They should remake ABCD n premam too<3
