Inder's Death Pivotal

I have been reading a few posts and it seems the NP vs MP debate rages on. In a way, I think both camps are right but Inder's death was the turning point. Before Inder's death, Neev was the perfect guy for the girl Prachi was and after his death Milind was the perfect man, for the woman Prachi became.

Lets suppose Inder never died, I honestly don't think MP would have worked. Prachi completely sheltered and protected from the realities of the world (and she would have remained that way as long as Inder was alive) would have been intimadated and put off by Milind's brashness. While Milind would have been exasperated and irritated by Daddy's little girl. Furthermore, Milind would never have been happy playing second fiddle to Inder. Even, if Prachi got married, her father would still have had the greatest influence on her life. Within a month of marriage, Milind would have been driven mad and packed her off back to her parents. Neev would have been perfect in this situation. He is fairly easy-going, so he would have been fairly tolerant of Inder's influence and coming from the same world as Prachi, he really wouldn't have brought much of the harsh realities of the outside world into their secure, comfortable, wealthy lives.

But Inder's death knocked up Prachi badly. She had to face the ugliness of losing their fortune, losing their respectability and most importantly, she had to realise her father far from being perfect was actually a very flawed man. But this in a way paved the way for her to fall in love with a problematic person like Milind. He need not do and say the right thing all the time but she could still accept him as he is. If her father was not perfect, no man was going to be. If Inder was still alive and she was still living with the illusions, she had about him, she only ever could be with a guy like Neev who is always the perfect gentleman.

Milind may have saved Prachi's family from financial ruin by buying her hand in marriage but even if he hadn't, he would still have been perfect for Prachi after Inder's death. He knows what it is like to be poor and without much respect, something Neev doesn't know a thing about. Crucially, he also knows what it's like to lose a beloved parent. No matter how much of a drama queen, he accuses Prachi of being, he has never once disregarded her love for her father as an act.

So, really does all come down to Inder and his influence in Prachi's life that has determined which is the right man for her.

That was beautifully put BC👏 Yes, Inder is quite an influence on Prachi. I always thought that the Inder Shah influence was very dominant in the Neev-Prachi story. Inder was always there to shelter Prachi... so talking about that period without giving due credit to the Inder Shah influence will never give the right picture... the test of NP was after the death of Inder and seems like they didnt survive through that test. And Milind fit the requirement of a partner for Prachi after that because she changed with that tragedy... and I guess theer were a lot of similarities between Inder and Milind... both very quiet, serious, protective, possessive and completely family men & their success stories and the way they dealt with it was also similar... and those qualities did matter to Prachi.

Yes, Milind & Inder are very similar in nature esp with regard to Prachi... both of them wont tolerate playing the second fiddle in Prachi's life😆 But it would have been total fun for the viewers to see Inder and Milind fight. Inder did appreciate Milind as a person, which is obvious from Inder's statement that introduced Milind to the story. And no matter how much Milind denied it... he does have a kind of admiration for the man and that respect is eveident from the way he has taken Inder's place in the Shah house & how he didnt approve Inder's name being trashed in the court. They would have appreciated eachother had they met elsewhere... but with Prachi inbetween... they would simply stood against eachother. Would love to see Prachi stuck between the her father and husband and strive to maintain a balance. And how finally both will relent for the sake of Prachi's happiness and deicde to be cordial and cooperative. I loved this track in Virudh... the father-fiance encounters used to fantastic... wish at some point, with some twist Inder is got back and Milind has to fight him for Prachi or if not Inder a very strong father figure in Prachi's life would also be great😊

Onec again that was a lovely read, BC👏

That's also my fervent wish for a future storyline especially with a strong actor like Ronit Roy as Inder and maybe with his other series wrapping up, there is some hope for it. I wonder how the writers can get stuck on such a demented track as the Ritwik issue when there is so many other aspects of the Michi relationship to explore.😕

BC, very well said and Ryka did make this point long time back. I would love to see Ronit Roy brought back as some long lost twin of Inder who is convinced by Milsi and Prachi to act as Inder so that they can get to the bottom of the truth of Inder's death. Would love to see Pranay's reaction if he suddenly sees Inder alive. I also hope that this new twin helps to cure Ayesha's mother who will finally get to drill some sense into her daughter. This new character can really be a saviour in more ways than one.

And .....Opti darling..woudl lvoe to see...RR back as Inders twin...and a murder mystery unfold....it would indeed be 100 times much better then the crap we are...being dished out and put through.....

Getting RR to play alongside Shabbo may have only one problem, the budget of KYM. I have no idea what is its budget, but considering these two may be among the highest paid along with RK, KYM may have to increase in budget if they have to get RR and also retain Shabbo for all the episodes.

Candyfloss, KSBKBT is Ekta's flagship serial. Going by the sets and the number of characters, it is definitely having a much larger budget than KYM which is a 11.00 pm show. A look at the wardrobe of the lead characters gives you an idea how big is KYM's budget.

If the TRPs improve and the ad revenue goes up, may be they may increase the budget for KYM too.
