OMG! Ranbir Kapoor to make his television debut as a reality show host

India's favorite dance reality show Nach Baliye' is all set to roll its eighth season from next month. Your beloved celebrity couples shall be seen shaking a leg and battling it out on the dance floor from April 2. And if reports are to be believed, Bollywood heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor shall make his television debut as the host of Nach Baliye 8.

The Kapoor scion will finally join the likes of Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan, thereby donning the hat of a TV show host. Before you let your imagination run wild, let us tell you, he will only be hosting the launch episode.

The hunt for the show's host was on for a long time and the organizers only have Karan Tacker on board yet. With Ranbir joining Tacker for the maiden episode, it buys the makers some extra time till they find a co-host for the show judged by Sonakshi Sinha, Terence Lewis and Mohit Suri.

Ranbir is expected to shoot for the first episode of Nach Baliye, season 8 on Saturday, March 25. The actor apparently shall perform on a medley of his own songs.

Speaking of performance, the show runners have roped in couples including newly weds Divyanka Tripathi - Vivek Dahiya, Sanaya Irani - Mohit Sehgal, Sasural Simar Ka' stars Dipika Kakkar - Shoaib Ibrahim, Bharti Singh - Harsh Limbaachiya, Aashka Goradia - Brent Goble, Abigail Pande - Sanam Johar amongst others shall set the stage ablaze with their romantic dances!

Hopefully what you read is true. But this can't be called hosting, Ranbir will just have few shots with Karan Tacker and participants.
