I think yesterday's episode was one of my favourites. Had quite a mixture of some really precious relationships in the show ❤️
Gotta appreciate that this is one of the rare shows where I enjoy each character's interaction with each other. There's not just one special relationship/equation I enjoy. Its so difficult to pick which one is more adorable or heartwarming.
Life is tough like Mummy Kohli said but when you have such family members by your side, its all gonna be alright even if there is no male figure.
Kabir/Aryan
I love the way Kabir is parenting Aryan. Perfect example of how one need not be a parent to actually know how to parent. He doesn't support Aryan's deeds but neither does he condone them. He doesn't attempt to label them as right or wrong. He observes, understands & is trying to befriend him first using the very subjects like gaming that interest Aryan, before even teaching him or helping him. And look its working! Aryan actually attempted to open up yesterday in explaining that because he too has gone through lows in his life, (I am assuming this has to be with the absence of a father/ male figure) he wants to help others become stronger through his game. This kid is not only brainy but he's inherited a lot of strength & kindness from his mother & the other Kohli women. I've not seen him open up this way with the Kohli sisters. I guess sometimes its easier to open up to an outsider who doesn't really know us & Aryan has identified Kabir as safe. He's no longer the warrior trying to overtake Aryan's position of the 'man of the house'. Kudos to Kabir for breaching that barrier.
Kabir/Myra
Kabir is really winning hearts, isn't he. The feeling of serendipity has not quite worn of him yet & he innocently asks Myra if she enjoys computer games & apologizes sweetly for raising such a personal topic which is against her rules & regulations. I feel like banging my head against the wall every time Myra mentions her rules & regulations. How can she reject such a charming & amazing guy. YEH PAGAL HAI KYA! OK that was a fangirl speaking.😆 I have to really applaud Kabir though, for not shying away from praising Myra even though she doesn't appreciate it. Goes to show that he has the clarity of an open mind & an honest heart. But then Myra's also calmed down, hasn't she. Not even once did she loose her temper! I see progress on both ends. Moving one step closer.
Abha/Aryan
I take back what I said. I think they're my most precious relationship on this show. I love that Abha despite being a mother, does not shy away from letting her young boy Aryan know how she feels & attempts to explain things to him. And she too encourages Aryan to speak & listens to him. Parents sometimes fail to realise that even though they don't say anything, the kids see it all & make their own assumptions which can result in a lot of deep-rooted issues & fears. I see a really healthy parent/child relationship here despite the absence of a male figure. As much as I feel for Aryan who is a lonely kid, I think he's blessed to be in such a family where everybody tries to look out for each other. Abha at least will always do that. Because she is not afraid of falling & making mistakes. She looks ahead in life, & attempts to be better each day. Definitely the wisest duo of the house. Like mother like son. *nazar na lage*
Sudha/Myra
Dever. HAHAHA. Mummy Kohli only you can make me laugh in the middle of an emotional scene. She's such a typical mother. First listing all her daughters' faults then blaming the other party. Aren't we all biased towards our kin. I totally understood Myra's frustration as well. My mum & dad do the same to me & sometimes I get really irritated with why they are telling me this.. why can't they speak to my brother instead. Mummy Kohli had a point BUT Myra too had a point. we need to learn from past mistakes but no need to bring up past all the time, right? Love the way they inserted humour here as Mummy Kohli attempted to move away due to not wanting to do house work rather than avoiding the topic. Made me laugh!
Rhea/Nikhil & the farewell party
Interesting that the sisters questioned Mummy Kohli for dressing up when they too were somewhat dressed up. Felt the discussion some episodes back of how there is no age to do what you want, very relevant here. All about choice isn't it. Even older people can live life like the youngsters, same with stay home mums & working women. I am glad that Sudha didn't go back into her room & change & held on to her choice. Love the way she takes the lack of respect in stride & jokes about it instead. Of course somewhere that's also a sign of running from it but at least she doesn't harp on it all the time & decide to focus on other things.
Rhea seemed to be very taken aback by Nikhil's announcement of his engagement. Is it finally gonna hit her slowly that she's lost someone she loves & that he may never come back once he goes? I hope so. Really looking forward to more of Rhea/Nikhil.
Sorry for such a long post. I had so much to say!😆
Cheers,
Samridhi
