So according to the new on location, neil had a girlfriend who died. Who she is and how and when she died hasn't been disclosed yet. I remember previously neil and then even his own mother had said there is no place for love in his life, so if he has a mending heart, why on earth has he not been shown even in the slightest bit looking like he has gone through the pain of losing his girlfriend or doesn't seem to remember her or seem in anyway disturbed? Why is he being shown as so fascinated and attracted to avni even though he has shrugged it off that he has any feelings for avni, and why has he agreed to marry riya?
Okay so he obviously must have agreed to marry riya out of pressure from his mother, but if a dead girlfriend is his past, why has he not been shown to have any kind of pain or shown affected in any way? And him being attracted to avni so quickly also makes sense, and neither the fact that he keeps yapping on about how curious he is about her and how she is a mystery to him. his curiosity towards her and the fact he keeps thinking about her shows he is attracted to her.
Neil's character doesn't make sense to me, and i suspect that this new dead girlfriend angle has just been thrown in there for extra drama by the writers.
