Just came across Manu's and Chellam's discussions... so was tempted to elaborate on it...

Hmmm hopeless? Khan Sahib is 'without hope' not hopeless... 😉 two different words

Hopelessly romantic is different... I can never see him as the forlorn lover (like Chitti said) so, not hopelessly romantic either...

But he is a romantic. Be it touching her painting to relive the canal scene, or eating the laddu and relishing every last crumb of it... he is a romantic... but a passionate one... he can never be the suave romantic like the Jalals who have grown up around women, work with stunning secretaries and have had supermodels as friends 😉

But if he wants something, he knows he wants it... and neither his loyalty wavers, nor does his determination!
