Swara Bhaskar REJECTS a movie with Shah Rukh Khan!

Swara Bhaskar is Bollywood's underrated yet formidable actress of our times. She has made her presence felt in the movies like Ranjhaana and now she is getting amazing critical acclaim for her next movie: Anarkali Ki Arrah. For those who don't know, she is director Aanand L Rai's favourite who also is her meAccordingoridng to DNA, she had a free-wheeling discussion with him about his next movie with Shah Rukh Khan where the superstar is playing a dwarf. She told him that she has grown up watching Shah Rukh romance his actresses and asked if there was any role for her in the film. Rai told her that the only role left in the flick was that of SRK's mom. Swara was quick to reject the part and she let go of this opportunity only because she really did not want to play the romantic hero's mother on screen!

It is reported that she was mortified upon hearing the role details and promptly denied working with a much older Shah Rukh. What do you think of this? For the uninitiated, Swara has always been an SRK fan and she has said so in her earlier interviews as well. In fact, her long-standing dream was to become like Shah Rukh and NOT like any Bollywood actress.

In one of her interviews, she told a publication, "I wanted to be like Shah Rukh Khan, and not a Bollywood heroine. I thought I would become a popular actor like him. An actor can become a star, but to retain that position like SRK, Salman (Khan) or Aamir (Khan) for 25 years is difficult."
