No immigrant who has come to the US legally, abiding all laws, need be scared.

Trump is not against immigrants. Does he have some racist views? Probably. But as a president, he is not against immigrants who have come to the US legally, through Visas gotten through work or education.

He is against those immigrants who've entered the US and living here illegally, so if any relative of yours fits that bill, then yes you should be worried.

Otherwise, there is no need for people to make a huge issue of this and start freaking out. If you're a law-abiding member, particular a US citizen, you have absolutely nothing to worry about.

Another hoax, this time In NYC subway

Another woman lies about harassment

Yasmin Seweid, 18 year old muslim student joined a growing list of local and national alleged hate-crime victims when she told cops she was taunted Dec. 1 on the No. 6 train by three white men shouting "Donald Trump" who called her a terrorist and tried to snatch her hijab off her head while straphangers did nothing.

But Seweid finally was arrested after she admitted to detectives that it was all a big lie.

Police sources say Seweid made up the story because she didn't want to get in trouble for breaking her curfew after being out late drinking with friends.

Cases like this build mistrust and if something like this really happens nobody believes the victim

A Somali-American lawmaker elected from Minnesota wrote on her facebook recently that she was harassed by a cab driver for being a muslim.

Minnesota Rep.-elect Ilhan Omar said she visited the nation's capital for a policy training at White House a month after getting elected.

She said the cab driver called her ISIS, lobbed sexist taunts and threatened to remove her hijab during a brief ride on Tuesday after the White House meeting. She was subjected to the most hateful, derogatory, islamophobic, sexist taunts and threats she had ever experienced...

She did not provide information about the driver. And she did not file case against him.

Why? She is no a ordinary woman, she is a lawmaker... She can't even post info about the cab or the driver on her facebook so action can be taken? She didn't press charges either.

Why do people spread lies and fear like this?

No saymaF29, I am not.. Read my post on pg3 of this thread to know I feel about him
I think liberal's esp. the media's antics are getting worse every year, they're becoming intolerable and insufferable

Btw these hate crime hoaxes are done by everybody, people from all walks of life, not uncommon here
Although we heard more about them in this election cycle...

Conservatives and Liberala both are guilty of this but mostly liberals bcz they can get away with it, they are not punished for their actions most of the time.
Hate crimes get so much publicity, but when they're proven as hoax, they barely get a mention.

Sorry for the question Betty. I just read that you in your previous posts denied being his supporter. Ok so it's basically vicious media and liberals. Hmm

Since your friend has already got her citizenship, there's nothing to worry.
But unlike other folks here, I do worry about the "legal immigrants" as well.
I believe that Trump is capable of doing anything, anytime, so immigrants, legal or illegal have to be on guard.

Not a Trump supporter but don't understand this thing I've been hearing from liberals and leftists. When did Trump say anything against legal immigrants?

I get your point, you're saying he is not just against immigrants but also minorities who are American citizens, right?

Buy that's not true. He is not against American ( citizen) minorities esp Blacks, he never said anything against them

He is against illegal immigrants and Islamic terrorists

Did you know he got more Black and Latino votes than Romney and McCain? And more white women voted for him than Hillary? Black voters did not vote against him as expected.

Hillary got much less black votes than Obama did despite Obama saying again and again to blacks " If you don't vote for Hillary you're repudiating my legacy"

didn't Putin manipulate all the votes in his favour haha..

Anyway I recently moved to US(NYC) from UK and can definitely see more black and white divide here than Europe. I haven't seen this obvious divide in my entire life, no not in India, Europe is far more evolved as well and it is pretty shocking how white people specify their colour in casual conversation e.g. one girl told me you know I'm the only white girl in the dance group(W*F!!!) and the other one mentioned that black guy hurled abuse at him calling him white monster. Black people had more complains for being called N word and so on. So country is indeed pretty screwed up. I did feel like being judged more and subtle experiences. Anyway safety wise it is probably pretty safe in the major cities. Obviously if you roam around in the dark alleys of not so popular areas, you would be putting yourself in danger. But that's almost in any country.
