becos of n no of films being made.giving importance to quantity n not quality mostly by d industry n so they are in such hurry

Another reason is makers cannot understand what the audience wants so the product does not click

Time has changed from HAHK. No movie will run for 100 days now (which was a measure of hit), including Dangal. For a moderate budget movie, a successful first week run would make a semi hit. Second week would make it hit.

First weekend footfalls in this multiplex era (over 4000 screens in the country) would be same as (or more than) one month of foot falls for earlier movies. Hence early judgements.

Earlier, film had chance to pick up after a month if it had good WOM (like afternoon shows). Now TV has covered that (satellite rights). Economy is still the same. Medium is changed.

Right now, distributing rights and satellite rights have been interconnected. (Either both will be high or both will be low). Slowly this might change.

Some movies might do good on screens, but may not have repeat value in TV (thriller genre). Some family dramas might not be hit on screen, but can have high repeat value on TV (like HSSH).
