Hello all,
Sorry for this post if it offends anyone, I'm largely an aethist, but have started being tuned to Lord Shiva for the last few years.
Since Ishqbaaz has such a strong parallel to Shiv with the three main leads named after him and the three main female leads named after Parvati, I was wondering what parallels can be drawn with the occurrence of Mahashivratri with the current story line.
I thought of this connection when i read an Indian Express article a few minutes back.
1. Mahashivratri considered the night Shiv and Parvati got married. - Shivay Anika ( potential wedding around the corner) and also Omkara - Gauri wedding happened today.
2. "But Shiva agreed to get rid of the poison by consuming it. He carefully held the poison in his throat, which turned blue due to its effect. On Maha Shivaratri, devotees show their gratitude to the god for thus having saved the world. " - taking a risk on to themselves and saving someone else. Omkara, Shivaay and Rudra have both done/will do this in recent episodes.
3. "According to another legend, this is the day when Shiva performed Tandava or the dance of creation, preservation and destruction." - when the eye opens and Tandava dance takes place. Shivay's anger during Tia exposure - I can only fear for her and Mrs Kapoor.
I usually avoid religious lines, but thinking of this more in a cultural space and the strong parallels that Ishqbaaz cvs have drawn between leads and Shiv Parvati.
