^not surprised... if shravan and also rohit don't perform extremely well, they will be in the danger of elimination, even a good performance doesn't secure their chances unless judges save them...where as the more popular ones like KB will get through despite the below average singing...that's Indian idol for you...

As usual I enjoyed rohit, revanth, mohit and shravan's singing. Malvika is like on and off.. I didn't like her singing much today.

My review for today:

In the order of performances-

1. Omkara by Tajinder and Mohit - my second favourite of the day. This song suited Tajinder to the t. He has the right throw for this song. Mohit on the other hand can't sing low notes. You almost don't hear him. Today clearly Tajinder overshadowed Mohit. Though Tajinder is getting repetitive, he has limited harkats which he uses all the time. It suited the song today but it's repetitive.

2. Ghagra by Khudabaksh and Maalavika - the worst performance of the day. I've come to a conclusion that Khudabaksh can only sing folk songs or Punjabi songs. Every time he's tried something else he's failed. Today clearly was his worst. Maalavika sounds the same no matter what she sings. And when she sings high she's shrill. Today she was shrill even in not so high notes. Also there is no need to put in a classical element in every song. A song like this doesn't need it. Ruins it for me.

3. Naina thag lenge by Rohit and Shravan - the best performance of the day. They were outstanding. This is a very difficult song to sing and pitching changes drastically, but these two boys showed why the judges always have only praises for them. Shravan was slightly better, I think Rohit gets a little nervous. Though this song in my opinion suited Rohit better. Nevertheless they were both exceptional.

4. Beedi Jalaile by Revanth and Manya - Manya didn't sing bad, but the rustic element was missing in her voice. She was trying to sound seductive, but this song for lack of a better word needed the singer to sound crude. It didn't give me the right feel. Revanth has improved in terms of pronunciation but there's still scope. There was a part where I understood nothing he sang. Also he tried to infuse grunge - in the initial bits it was ok but then became too much and ruined it for me. He was good in parts but in parts he wasn't.

3. Tajinder
4. Revanth
5. Mohit
6. Maalavika
7. Manya
8. Khudabaksh


Maalavika in the bottom surprised me. She's got a huge fan following.
Khudabaksh wasn't in the bottom came as no surprise - he's got a huge fan following.
RP Shravan has the least following on social media, followed by i would say Rohit/Tajinder.
Expect Khudabaksh to stay a lot longer, though capability wise he should go next.
