Ek Nazar Mein

Part 1

At a Radio station.

~Ek nazar mein bhi pyaar hota hai, maine suna hai ...~

"Hello friends. This is RJ NEIL on your own night show. For the next thirty minutes I am yours."

"So you must be wondering why I was humming a song at the start of the show? So the story is..." He rubbed his hands and continued.

"Today when I was with my friends spending my precious evening time, she came..." He paused for a second and then continued.

"Yes , a girl ... Her large deep eyes where analyzing the traffic to cross the road, moving from left to right and right to left with the fast moving traffic. She was wearing a salwar kameez, the colour of her dress was violet with shades of grey and white. Her long hair was touching her cheeks and eyes. It was like they were kissing her soft pink cheeks and those mysteries eyes."

He stopped and closed his eyes to remember the pleasant moment.

Keeping his hand on his chest over his heart he said, "Aha...To me it was a pleasant moment."

"But she seemed frustrated," he continued chuckling and said, "She was pulling them back again and again. But her hair seemed to be naughty. She was trying harder to keep them back but somehow one or two strands kept rubbing her soft cheeks again and again."

He then stopped, cleared his throat and said, "Then finally after thirty seconds of continuous traffic she was able to cross the road."

And he took a deep breath.

He then continued, "She was looking more and more beautiful as she was coming nearer to my side. Oh...I forgot to mention her petal soft lips."
He said with guilt in his voice for forgetting something so important as describing her lips.

"They were the softest lips I have ever seen. They were pink," he said softly.

"No... No... No artificial colour. There was no lipstick. They were naturally pink," he said in a very confident voice.

"So she crossed the road and what next?" he paused for a second and continued in his voice filled with anxiety.

"She was coming towards me. Yes she was walking in my direction. Now the only thing in my mind was did she see me adoring her?? And what will be her next move?? Is she going to slap me?? Or smile? Or stop? And talk?"
He was throwing all types of questions that were possible in his situation.

"In one second my mind was full of questions. And she was approaching me. Nearer and nearer she got to me." He made a heartbeat sound(dhak-dhak) to make the listeners aware of his anxiety.

"She was face to face with me. And then..." He stopped and said, "I will tell you what happened next, but after this song," and played:

Jaise shayar ka khwaab
Jaise ujli kiran
Jaise ban mein hiran
Jaise chandni raat
Jaise narmi ki baat
Jaise mandir mein ho ek jalta diya... ~
