Abandonment issues in childhood is not something negligible or reduntant or laughable.

It can leave lasting scars on the psyche of the child and the repercussions are seen in adulthood, which is what this movie portrayed.

ANY Childhood bad experiences, traumas and tragedies leave a permanent impression on the young mind... and this forms the personality of the individual, its entrenched in his/her personality, in how that person looks at life and relationships, how he/she interacts with others, how he/she feels abt everything in general.

I have seen this truth in real life only too often.

Kaira was abandoned by her parents at a very young age, her trust was broken by their false promises, so she could never trust people when she grew up, she did not have faith in her own feelings or her relationships.
Thats why she broke up with them before they could hurt her and when she felt betrayed by that director guy she completely lost it and needed therapy.

Jug's pearls of wisdom were priceless. ⭐️

Frankly speaking, Jug was the only good thing in the movie.
Even I disliked Kiara in the beginning. She herself dumped the 2 guys and then started playing the victim card after coming to know that the second guy got engaged to someone.

Her parents were not completely wrong by leaving her with her grandparents but they were wrong when they neglected her later.

The only scene where I felt bad for Kaira was during the party scene where they humiliated her.

Jug-kiara scenes were good.Alia was good but her performance was not award worthy.

The film deals with a serious issue and the best part is the way it is handled

You complain in the recently movies thread that people keep discussing films in other languages in a bollywood forum and you yourself open a new topic after seeing a recent bollywood film rather than posting it in the recently seen movies thread.

wow.

glad and suprised to see your post since you promised to not watch any BW movie and leave the forums if Alia ends up winning best actress filmfare..thought you left..

anyway OT

movie was deep..it was a bit slow but because of brilliant performances..it keeps you hooked

alia was so brilliant in the scene she meets srk for the first time and is explaining her problem..she was literally shivering..such intensity man..one could see her pain

srk was so awesome here

you are entitled to your opinion but there are many who liked this movie and the acting..so lets not mock them for that..
