CHARACTER SKETCH

1. Kushi Kumari Gupta (23 years ) a second year medical student, an orphan and her world is her brother, Akash Gupta and her BFF Raghav.

2. Akash Gupta: (28 years) process manager/ Chief designer in AR industries , an orphan and love his sister who is the only focus of his life

3. Raghav Joseph (27 years), a fourth year medical student an orphan . His BFFs are Kushi Gupta, Lavanya Kashyap. Akash was once Vinay's best friend but they have fallen out . He is very quite and opens to his friends Kushi and Lavanya.

PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL THE THREE ARE ORPHANS AND ADAPTED THEIR SURNAME . GUPTA IS KUSHI's FATHER BUT HE NEVER OWNED HER.

4. Lavanya Kashyap : Friend of Kushi and Raghav but Raghav is her BFF. Her family hates Kushi, Akash and Raghav.

5. Arnav Singh Raizada : 28 years old, entrepreuner and CEO of AR industries. Has a disturbing past. He lost his child hood sweet heart, Purvi, to a manipulative Sheetal. He does not trust people because of his experience and is skeptical that certain people can do anything for money. So avoids such people. His life is his sister Anjali and wants to get custody of his niece from Shyam

6. Sheetal Kapoor: an ambitious materialistic girl who wanted to become rich soon She was the reason for Purvi's death as she wanted to marry Arnav

7. Anjali Raizada : a divorcee and is fighting a custody battle for her child against her husband Shyam Joshi.

8. Shwetha Kashyap : 26 years, Sister of Lavanya Kashyap, extremely gorgeous and friend of Arnav. Kushi hates her for the past that they share

9. NK : friend of Kushi; Lavanya and Raghav and does crazy antics along with Kushi

Arnav lost his love two years ago this day. The day was indelible from his head, the deceit that he faced and the price that he paid for trusting unworthy people. His pure innocent Purvi trusted the world and those she trusted deceived her. He as a well knowledge man and with his past should have seen through the facade. But No, that was not to be ... He had to loose her to understand what the world was and during the transition he became Arnav to ASR.

For Kushi , life is fun, she believed in living for the day as Kal ho Na ho. But her fun is only with her own world of Bhai, Raghav, Lavanya and NK. She neither peeped out of her cocoon nor she ever let anyone penetrate her world. She especially kept away from the rich and famous except Lavanaya, who was her darling. For her, those with the money are selfish, always gave pain, heartache, insults and shame to those who had less. Money empowered them to feel that the world exclusively belonged to them.

These two contrasting personalities heal each other and find their destiny. This is not only a story of Kushi- Arnav but that of Kushi - Akash, Kushi- Raghav, Anjali- Arnav . The story also explores the story of Lavanya, the poor little rich girl.

CHAPTER 1

The clock showed 5.00 in the morning and Kushi got up from the bed. The entire night had been restless and she had to pretend that she was sleeping peacefully or Bhai would get perturbed. She switched on the phone and there was six missed calls from Raghu aka Raghav. She messaged him that she was fine and would meet him later in the evening after his college. Usually this day ever year, she never attended college. She was expecting Bhai to knock at her door to check if everything was fine. She heard the much awaited knock and Bhai walked in. He looked worried and she gave a wide smile to reassure him. These two men have to leave her alone, she mused. She was a big girl, she was 22 years old today, in fact the oldest in the class of 2^nd year MBBS.

" Good morning, Baccha. How is your morning? Do you want me to drop you at college"

Obviously Bhai was worried because he called "Baccha" only when he wanted to reassure her that everything was fine. Of course! Everything was perfect. She can take care of herself.

" No, Bhai . I am fine, Raghu will come and pick me. I will take off today and go out with NK and Raghu"

Akash Bhai was convinced because although he has issues with Raghav , he knew that she was safe with Raghu as she would be with himself. Raghu was after all her Best Friend Forever ( BFF).

And very softly , he said , " Happy Birth day, Baccha". " God Bless you".

She gave a weak smile and moved towards the bathroom and said " I am going for a walk. NK will come with me ".

She went into the bathroom and washed her face , pondering about her brother's wishes. She never took birthday wishes from anyone, not even Raghu. It was not a day to be celebrated. She took wishes only from Akash Bhai because he was the first person to see her the day she was born, 22 years ago and he has been that loving brother, the entire world would envy. He fulfilled all her wishes; he lived to take care of her; made money so that she could get good education, good clothes, ice creams, everything was provided by him. He was always worried about her as she was about him. In their small world, Raghu and she were survivors. Her brother was the more emotional one and she always felt protective towards him. Then, my dear Lavanya, she is a princess with a heart that shines out. Then, NK... what would we all do without him. The eternal flirt..., the loyalist who would swear by you.

She wore her track suit and had the coffee that Bhai made for her and moved towards the door. Bhai was trying to say something and then decided to leave it. At the door she turned and moved towards Bhai and gave him a hug.

"Bhai, I am fine and will be back in one hour. Give me some money for ice cream. "

He gave one thousand rupees to her . " Baccha, go and have a good day. But stay close to Raghu. Do take your phone. I have a meeting at 8.00 am. I have to head the meeting as my boss will be in the office only in the afternoon". He gave a broad smile and a warm hug.

She managed to convince him that she was fine. The phone started ringing and Raghu's name started flashing. She messaged him that she would meet him later. She wanted some time by herself. She started moving towards Aksa Beach. She moved towards the rock and sat on one of the boulder's facing the west coast with the sun rising behind her.

Kushi tried to address her inner turmoil and tried to meditate to get rid off the negative thoughts associated with the day. She sensed a presence, another life and so she turned in an angle and her eyes clashed with a deep honey brown eyes. Kushi was stunned by the presence of another person, pulled herself and gave a faint smile towards the stranger. The man was equally stunned by her presence and dashed his hands across his face and glared at her . Without any acknowledgement, he moved down the rocks to the luxury car parked in the driveway.
