CHAPTER 12A

Arnav ...

Time was running out and he had to find an immediate solution for Shraoo's custody. They have to gain the custody and he will go to any length to get Sharoo. His baby ... The very thought that they may lose Sharoo's custody terrified him and it has been days since he had slept and he was restless with fear clawing at him.

He cannot discuss the issues with Di because it will affect her badly and will blame herself for the mess. She was traumatized about the entire incident and held herself solely responsible for disturbances in her son's life.

Arnav, 'Was he right in proposing Di for Akash, what if something goes wrong. Is Akash what he appears to be.'

Yet again, life has brought him at cross roads, but now the stakes are much higher.'

He needs to discuss with Nani and Mami before making decision. He needs their guidance in the most decision of their lives.

He went to Di's room and picked Sharoo, "Chief, lets spend the day together. Lets go play football."

Arnav called work , " Akash I am not in today, myself and Sharoo are having a boy's day out."

Akash, "Go ahead. I can manage everything. I am jealous that you guys are having fun."

Arnav, " You can join us." It would help Akash and Sharoo to bond and he can also interact with Akash about his future.

Akash, " Sorry can't , boss is away... need to be here at work. But will see you tomorrow at Vikas sir's house."

Akash was the previous employee of Vikas Mori and was invited for his birthday.

Arnav, " Thanks , Akash you truly are my Man Friday. See you at Vikas' house."

Arnav spent the morning with Sharoo playing football and they had an ice cream party and reached home by noon. He met his lawyer at 2pm and when Arnav left the lawyer's office, he was truly worried. Shyam's chances of winning the custody seem to be much higher because Shyam was married now and his wife was pregnant. In the eyes of law, he can provide more stability for Sharoo.

Immediately after Purvi's death Di had a nervous breakdown and had to take professional help. Unfortunately during that traumatic period Di was also pregnant and it had a toll on her and she suffered depression for 6 months. During that time Arnav became both a father and mother to Sharoo. It also helped him to over come his guilt over Purvi's death. Sharoo became his life and soul. But this seem to cast a shadow on Di's chances in obtaining Sharoo's custody. The can overcome this is if Di is happily married to a very strong person and provide a stabile home for Sharoo.

Arnav was trembling with fear, God nothing should go wrong. What would happen to them if they loose Sharoo.'

He skipped his dinner, informed Di that he had a headache and went to his room. He called his lawyer and had another discussion with him. Shyam had mishandled finance at AR but at that time Arnav had forgiven him for Di. The lawyer said that they could probably dig the accounts and implicate that he was a fraud and hence would be a poor parent. But unfortunaetely there was no case registered against him for financial fraud. Also, his involvement in Purvi's death was never proved because Purvi had killed herself without mentioning anyone.

To himself , Purvi , what did you achieve by killing yourself. Wish you had confided in me , I would have married you immediately and protected you.'

" Why is the law so weak. Is depression a taboo, when something terrible happens , very few people can come out of it and fight against it. Neither Purvi nor Di was one of them. Purvi killed herself and Di went into depression. He cannot help Purvi but he will make sure that his Di's life resurrected. Today, she is out of depression and is the mainstream of the house. She takes care of everyone from elder to youngest with equal vigour and patience. Her depression was completely gone out of her life except a scar on her reputation. Arnav Singh Raizada stood by her then and will be there till her life is settled and she is happy forever.

Arnav, " Nani, I met the lawyer and the truth our case is weak. We need to show that Di has able support. Unfortunately , the lawyers feels that you and Mami are too old to support in the upbringing of Sharoo and I am not even counted. Shyam is gaining sympathy by playing the rich vs poor card and that the Raizadas are using their money and power to gain custody . Now, the only option left out is to get Di married. I think I have to speak to Akash for the marriage very soon !"

Nani, " Chotee don't worry, everything will be resolved. Tomorrow when we meet Akash at Mori saab's house we will talk in detail. We should not have much problem, Akash is an orphan and so the decision has to be taken only by him and no body will influence him ."

Arnav thought to himself, " That's not true ... There is one person and that too a strong influence... Kushi."

Arnav was feeling light headed and all his fears rushed to his gut...

Arnav is very worried about anjali. Both khushi and arnav need to clear the misconceptions which they hold towards each other.

I don't know about law but can't he state that there is a chance of stepmother to torture the kid especially when she is going to have her own child .There are cases right ?
