Arnav drove to the apartment complex and Lavanya shook a slightly dazed Kushi. With great difficulty Lavanya was balancing her. Unwillingly Arnav got down and helped Lavanya to drop the girl in the apartment complex. The girl did not even acknowledge him, not that he cared but he expected her to thank him.
They entered an apartment complex and there was the girl's brother waiting anxiously for his sister. Arnav was stunned as it is was the new manager at AR, Akash Dogra.
Kushi rushed forward, "Bhai! Did you eat dinner."
Arnav was surprised to see that Akash, his Chief Designer was Kushi's brother.

CHAPTER 8
Akash Gupta had started with Vikas Mori's fashion house, "She" with a small time job. He was not a professional fashion designer but had learnt a little fashion design during his stay at She'. After working for 5 years at She', Akash joined AR. Arnav was initially hesitant to hire Akash as he was an employee of She' and Mr. Mori was a good friend. But when Mr. Vikas Mori assured him that Akash deserved the change, he had no hesitation in hiring him.
Akash has been with AR for three months now and very quickly he earned Arnav's trust. That in itself tells the kind of person Akash was as Arnav is sceptical about everything and doesn't trust people that easily. Life had taught Arnav that all that shines is not gold and hence one has to be e in taking decision. Else, one would loose all that he possesses. But Arnav was turning to be a guy worthy of the trust and Arnav was considering to extend this association to another level.
Akash was equally surprised to see him. He came forward and wished and thanked him for the effort. Then he saw his sister drunk and his face became contrived and pained. He rushed to her , " Kushi..."
"Bhai, Did you have dinner?"
" Yes..."
"Lets go and sleep. Bye ...Lav!".
She stumbled and Lavanya moved forward to hold her but Akash shoved her hand away.
Lavanya hesitantly said, " Akash..."
"Just leave... I can take care of my sister.."
Kushi reiterated, " Lav, you leave!"
But Lavanya tried again with Akash, " Kushi...she was..." She was struggling to string a sentence.
Akash gave a rude glare, "All of you are responsible for Kushi's plight.."
Lavanya , " I advised her not to... drink"
Akash , " So..."
Arnav could sense the unease between Akash and Lavanya and he felt the need to protect Lavanya.
"Your anger is misplaced, Akash. If not for Lavanya your sister would not have reached home. What is wrong with you, instead of thanking her, you are accusing her." "In fact , You should be advising your sister."
Akash turned and said, " Mr. Raizada I have known my sister for the last 23 years. I understand that you met my sister just few hours back, so you should refrain from advising me about her. But thanks for your advice , yes, I will advise her to choose right kind of friends."
Arnav was surprised, he wondered if this was the same Akash who was gentle, level headed, open to suggestions. This Akash seemed very defensive with misplaced and unreasonable anger. Probably he loved his sister a lot and was blind to her faults.
But Arnav couldn't resist, " I wouldn't have advised if you had not wrongly blamed Lavanya. You may have known your sister for 23 years but you have not seen the incidents that happened in the last few hours.But I have... If it were not for Lavanya , your sister would be lying on some highway and the rest of the night you would have been running around looking for her. I think you should have a hard talk with your sister."
Lavanya tried to interrupt , she tried to stop Akash and Arnav from getting into argument.
Arnav made eye contact with Kush but she immediately shifted her gaze. At that point , Arnav expected her to make some remark , defend her friend but she was unperturbed. He didn't want to form opinion about her but unfortunately this girl's behavior made him stiffen. He was reminded of the contrast between his sister, her selflessness and love for him. He was definitely a very lucky man !!! Poor Akash, he doesn't even realize that his sister was unworthy of his affection.
Akash responded curtly to Arnav, " I kindly request you to reserve your opinions. I thank you for bringing my sister home but even without you she would have reached home safely."
Arnav's opinion of Akash came crashing down. This man was blind to his sister's mistakes or his sister was twisting her brother emotionally.
Arnav, " Its your choice... But if you do not address this issue in hand, both of you would regret one day."
Kushi, " Bhai, lets go home, I am tired."
Akash, " Good night"
Arnav, " Lavanya we should leave".
Lavanya turned to Akash and said, " You really think I will hurt Kushi"
Akash, " Yes ! "
Lavanya was crying and again Kushi spoke .
" Bhai I am sleepy , lets go. Lav you go home."
Now this was unbearable to Arnav, he wanted to get out of the place. This girl, Kushi was so selfish. He held Lavanya's hand and literally dragged her towards the car.
They were near the gate when Kushi rushed and hugged Lavanya from behind, " Lav, see you tomorrow. Can we both go to college together." "Smile !! "
Arnav prised Lavanya from Kushi, she needs to keep away from this girl. He felt protective towards Lavanya as she seemed as gullible as Purvi.
Arnav left the place seething with anger...,,,,,
Kushi turned towards her brother with a determined expression...
