I'm really glad that they addressed the concern of fans with this episode.
The episode begins with a lovely ObBros moment to the tune of Lafzon ka ye rishtaSo Om wants to grow and do stuff on his own. He wants to see how he can handle things alone without the support of the Great Wall of Shivaay. So he wants to earn the 100 crore to give to Svetlana by himself. Shivaay asks him to go to Bareilly to deal with a project there for a hotel that has been blocked by the local goon Kali Thakur, and try his luck. It almost seemed like a paternal moment, with a child breaking out of the father's shadowš³
Rudra is afraid that everything is changing and slipping through their fingers...even the ObBros. But Shivay fervently denies it and asks him not to say that again...because the world might change and come to an end but not their bond
I'm glad the makers addressed the fans by assuring them through the beautiful moment between the brothers that they might be apart but the spirit of brotherhood still remains. Very meta:) Also...seems like DBO is set in the same time frame...albeit in a different setting. Not the future as some fans anticipated.
Anika helps Svetlana 'di' to hide from Shivaay...she is caught in a tough situation between her well-wisher and pati parameshwar š So she hides her in Shivaay's cupboard š Poor Shivaay must be wary of opening his cupboard in the future..women seem to seek refuge in it always š
The confrontation between SSO and Svetlana was indeed interesting...and Svetlana saying that his queen was by their side and Shivaay's rejoinder that she wouldn't be able to guess which pawn would turn the game around was significant...Wonder whether Shivaay is on the plan. At this juncture it's ambiguous. (Don't kill me, I am an ardent ShivIka shipper, but these two did have some chemistry, it was takkar ka fight, and Svetlana was quasi-devouring him with her eyes. Svetlana saying that usse challenge jeetne ki buri aadat hai, and SSO retorting that usse challenge naa haarne ki aadat hai š)
Shivaay has had enough of Anika supporting her newfound friend and decides to have a reprise of their old moments...and consequently throws her in the pool and jumps in himself. Fan memories reignited āļø Nice to see flashbacks of the pool scene which is certainly one of their hallmark scenes.
I just loved the eagerness and desperation in his voice when he said...Bolo tumhe sab yaad aaya gaya...JUST SAY IT ANIKA ā¤ļø Nakuul just aced the hoarse and raw desperation of the lover eager to have his ladylove back here in his portrayal of SSO.š
I do think that not having Anika around hits Shivaay hard...so the desperate attempts to revive her. It is again significant that TiLana are listening in to this convo and make merry over Anika's memory loss. Meanwhile, Anika's adarsh bahu role continues, with doing puja and making a puja ki thaal, worried that she has forgotten kumkumš
Shivaay then decides that desperate times call for desperate measures and gets Khanna to get a buffalo to Oberoi mansion. Poor Khanna was so befuddled and his question as to whether he really wants to do this.šš Episode ends with everyone riveted with the sight of the high and mighty Shivaay Singh Oberoi standing proudly next to...a buffalo š¤£
Light-hearted episode with a good reprise of their most significant scenes. Nice way to start off the weekend...with the precap suggesting that Tia's revelation is underway. She will put it off with an excuse this time, no doubt...but this is the beginning of the end for her š
