"I am more than capable of producing my own films": Anushka lashes out

Anushka Sharma is upset with some rumours doing the rounds that her movie Phillauri is being produced by alleged boyfriend Virat Kohli. The actress-turned-producer therefore took to Instagram to clear matters on this front.

Anushka wrote, "Phillauri is produced by FOX STAR HINDI and CLEAN SLATE FILMS. So those TV channels/newspapers/websites claiming anything else, please check FACTS, practice responsible journalism and have some shame. I have always led my career with dignity and often chose to maintain a dignified silence on many untruthful stories, that does not mean you can take my silence as my weakness and say anything without checking with me or my team."

And this is why I love Anushka! She is the actual role model for women empowerment, somebody so sure about her individuality. You don't need achievements, even your actions help.

Can totally get why Virat must have fallen in love with her- he is as much a self made person as she is and backs his own talents. When you are big celebrity like Virat in a cricket crazy nation, it would be very hard for him to find a girl who wouldn't use his stardom to get publicity, from what I've seen Anu has never done that. 😃

And of course I love Virat too! I love his like on the post ❤️ Has always shown his support to Anu, and defended her without being all lovey dovey. Also shows that he is not an egoistic person and has no qualms about his gf being incredibly independent.

Unfortunately a lot of people have that mindset that Virat is so wealthy that obviously he must be funding Anu and stuff. But from whatever I've seen of anushka, she seems to be a very self made woman. Don't think she's one of those people who looks out for money. N no wonder Virat loves her so much. I love the way he supports her. N Alia has also liked the post! :)

Love her for this nature! She is a good role model for young girls to be independent both financially and otherwise..
And I love how he always in subtle ways stands by her like making sure to like this specific post

Love what she said there! The media I feel does it deliberately at times knowing fully well what they are writing is hogwash! Anushka from everything that's out there seems like someone who is darn principled when it comes to the way she has lead her career and her life. So I'm not surprised that she gave it back.

Was there any article on Kohli producing the movie or is Anushka just claiming and turning it into PR strategy?

If it really happened then good job, A! More often you see women are called gold diggers even when they earn a lot more than the guy. Even here you see the trend to praise guys like Kohli and Ranveer and call their girlfriends lucky. Both women are superstars and they don't need these guys to survive. I like this Anushka.
