abhishek bachhan's struggles are warranted actually -

1. In the age when the actors of the past generation like aamir , salman and srk keep on re-inventing themselves, abhishek does not seem to change

2. Inspite of working for more than a decade now , he does not have good fan base which would have ensured a good opening.

3. he relegated himself to multistarrers rather than focussing on single starrers

I've always felt that Hrithik's reign in the last decade and since his debut has destroyed many potential careers, especially Abhi's one. Amitabh as usual the narcissist he was, he wanted his son to be the top of this generation, Abhi literally got more films than Hrithik too, but he was still always over shadowed by Hrithik.

Abhi tried to do everything Hrithik did and he failed, the last nail was doing Drona and it drowned his career badly. He started playing second fiddles to Hrithik and SRK, and then nobody took him seriously again. Bad films like dostana with Dharma made him lose his credibility some more.
