Hello Ani. After a long time I am posting on one of your topics. Actually, after a long time I have watched 3 episodes back to back. The drama has been too high voltage to miss.
Om was unleashed today. He was on fire. He just went crazy with rage and pain. I got how he felt. If you see your Mother in that state, anyone would lose it. ANY child is very protective and possessive of their Mother. So his emotions I understood.
I don't think Jhanvi burned herself because she was being divorced. That is an entirely simplistic view of a terribly complex issue. Jhanvi simply felt her life was worthless today. Tej made her feel like she had invested 30 years of her life in a sinkhole. He pretty much told her she had been a useless wife and a useless Mother and that he was done with her. The divorce was just the official version of the total devastation of her life's work. This marriage and her kids. She gave up her fiancee to be this man's wife, then she gave up her career for his kids. Then finally he tells her you were "useless" at both roles. She simply felt like her whole life's worth was questioned. She was defeated finally. While I disagree with her actions, I understand the pain that led her to think she didn't want to live anymore. This further proves that money can't solve problems, only take you to them in style.
Om's words were 100% true of Jhanvi. She stayed in this marriage because she "Loved" Tej. Despite being cheated by him and cheated of her career, she still could not give up on the love of her life. She became an alcoholic but just like any addict, she could not give up the man she should have dumped years ago. Love made her weak. So now Om wants NO part of such a feeling. He does not want to sell his heart and purchase pain. I think his reasons for changing are justified and actually logical. So I look forward to his next chapter. The man he WAS could never have got engaged to Svetlana to spite and revenge himself on his Father, but the man he IS can. Om will be interesting to watch because he officially traveled to grey zone in a most committed fashion today.
Rudra didn't have much to do despite triggering World war 3. I think once Om leaves his role will be more clear in the coming drama. (As per the segments he seemed to not know of ShivKara plan to trap Svet). Pinky and Annika. Less said the better. Annika was so insulted and that Dog stuff didn't go down well with me. But Shivaay stood up for her, so that was good. Shivaay also did his duty as a Brother 100% as he always does. In the brother stakes, this man is one to have on your side. Things are very interesting right now, and literally this house is burning down and will have to be built brick by brick. I agree, this was a chance for Dadi to slap Tej HARD, but she did not. She was too busy crying over the first "Divorce" in her family. A dysfunctional marriage where one partner's expectations and rights are constantly compromised and disregarded is not a marriage that is a "success" either. Dadi is more interested in the marriage continuing than the marriage being a success. She is truly an abject failure. Her lectures on Ishqbaazi sound hollow at best!
Good post.
