There could be 100 guys like Ravish better than that 1 Atharv but Vividha will only want Atharv.
You know why? Because for a Vividha, you need an Atharv. For an Atharv, you need a Vividha.
She doesn't even deny that Ravish is a great guy but does that mean she falls for every great guy? No! Because there is this one guy who lives, breathes for her. Someone who is so passionately in love with her that he's become part of her identity. In those flaws, in those irrationalities, Vividha has found someone who brings this rebellious side to her which no Ravish could ever dream of. Everyone saw how she was in the first month of the marriage, trying to settle in...she was BORING!
Atharv makes her come alive, she lives off that passion he ignites in her.
Atharva Sujata is what he is because he is NOT perfect. He has not had everything handed to him on a silver platter, he's worked for it. He had to work to survive, he had to work to make Vividha realise that she is indeed in love with him, he worked to make sure his mother never had any fingers pointed at her. But what happens? Everything is taken away from him! His identity which made him the proud man he is was taken away, his mother decided to go to that same house and family which shunned her away, the love of his life landed where? In that same house with his half brother!
Vividha knows what his weakness is. It's his anger and she knows how to handle it. Just like Atharv knew she had that strength in her to fight when no-one else really said she had anything extraordinary in her.
Vividha doesn't want Ravish no matter how perfect he is. She wants her Atharv. Quite simple no?
P.S. I don't want a man who lets the family know how great he is by letting me go. Nor do I want my bangles broken in order to prove that I'm no longer married :) What he did today may have been out of good intentions but his actions were of a MCP! Asserting authority over his 'wife' and 'letting her go'. As far as I know, she was never his to let go of :)
Also, I don't think they're trying to prove Ravish is the better choice for Vividha. What they're showing is that there are two people, Vividha & Atharv who flawed, unconventional and have the judgmental eyes of others around them whilst all they've done is love :| I've seen MANY Ravish Vashishts but not a single Vividha or Atharv on Indian TV which is why they impress me over any selfless man.
