i think you should talk to your parents rather then forgetting abt all this or just moving on...i know its hard for you to tell your parents that you love a hindu guy when your muslim but maybe if your parents know the guy well and his family and they trust you enough, they actually might let you two get married. i mean whats the harm in asking right? and if the guy's parents like you and think you two should get married then ask his parents to talk things ovr with your parents but dont rush them..take things slowly and steadily. i dont think converting religion is a good idea..i mean if that gets you two married then its good i guess according to u but then imagine how his parents would feel abt him going from hindu to muslim? not only would it make his parents shameful but him too..and vice versa if you go from muslim to hindu so converting religions is def. not a good idea. and dont even think abt running away. i mean how could you just elop with someone without even talking things thru with your parents? dont think about going against their decision...not only is it hard for you but for them too. anyways the best thing is to either talk things ovr with yr parents and his .. either that or just forget abt him and move on....but anyway if your parents know him and think you two are "just friends" and all then i think you should really talk to them..cuz who knows they actlly might agree with your decision.

I couldnt stop myself from writing all this after I read your post. I am a Hindu and I liked or rather loved some1 who was a muslim. I had known him from high school, he moved to another country and like 2 years ago he contacted me, and our old relationship started again. Both of us aren't teenagers anymore, we hold college degree, with very good jobs. When we saw each other again, we forgot our religion and families, we started even planning our marriage and families..

I could have stayed with him...But that would have been unfair to my parents..because of my happiness I couldnt forget what they did for; they gave me life, education. And in return I couldnt give them sorrow and a bad name in the society.

I am glad both of us understood each other so well. When we were chatting; I would always say to him; if you were a hindu, I would marry you. And he would say the same thing. Our friends think that its not right, religion shoudnt be a barrier in love.. but we told them love also doesnt create barriers. Love brings people closer. For our love we wouldnt want to create drifts between our parents.

So we are still friends. I wished him all the best for his future wherever he is. And he did the same for me. I wish life doesnt cross our paths again.

I wrote all that just to pour my heart out, I am not telling you to do the same thing. If your parents agree, then go for it girl..but dnt change your religion or let your boyfriend change his religion.

Hats off U for taking such decison...All i can say is whatever happen in ur life, the same thing pretty much happen with my life, And we both took the decision of staying away because i can't go against my parents..Its hard but we trying to...
