Young krystal, love does exist though it may be getting rarer in this day and age of fast and convinient relationships. I think the newer generations lack the ability to make a commitment and work at it. With emancipation, unfortunately also come the associated issues of intolerance, focus on individual freedom and an inability to be comfortable with compromises, and we pay the price in the form of transient relationships.
Coming to DMG, I think Armaan has time and again, with his persistence, demonstrated the extent of his feelings for her. Whether its protecting her from the truth or keeping her secrets (propanol) or the care, respect & affection that he bestows on Padma, they all speak volumes of his commitment to her. His inability to let her go, no matter how terrible the provocation (a la accusing him of trying to rape her!), demonstrates how helpless he is in the face of his feelings for her. And if it had not been for her confidence and her trust bing shattered by the fact that she is adopted and not her father's natural daugher, I suspect, she would not have needed to hear the three magical words.
And I thought that Armaan could not have verbalised his feelings better. The line that he said was far more powerful than I LOVE YOU, but I guess we are conditioned to hearing these three words cos they seal a commitment to a relationship.
Having said that, dont stop dreaming and believing cos love does exist and is always within our grasp. Its just that you need to recognise that its not a bed of roses all the time, but a wonderful journey of discovery where the most important thing is that there is someone by your side, holding your hand, be it rain or sunshine.
