Hey, Kriti! Remember you from the EDKV forum and your interactions with Namik. 😆
I'm not what you'd call a Deewani, but I have always been intrigued by Omkara's character and the possible layers this guy can have to his personality (In fact, I think there is so much more to the characters of all the three OBros than what we've got to see so far). Unfortunately, not much of this is explored in the show, yet. Neither have there been many works on Omkara on the forum, and the few that I was following initially were discontinued.
That said, I'm glad you decided to write this fic - I'm totally intrigued by the first chapter and the sneak peek into the second. This somewhere matches the kind of view I had in my mind for Omkara. And the whole party setting along with Meera entertaining herself with the show put on by the gossip-aunties and then Omkara joining in, gave me a very Regency feel for some reason. 😆 It can be attributed to the chapter title, to an extent. 😛
I'm curious to know what happened in the course of their conversation that these two ended up having a fiery row. Excited for the next update! A very well-written piece of work!
P.S: I'm not into VMs but chanced upon Zinda Hoon Yaar by you and absolutely loved it! ❤️
Hey Sarcy! And nice to meet someone from a familiar fandom! 🤗
And sigh, don't even get me started on the potential these characters have vs. what's actually shown. Especially Om! One'd think it's impossible to do injustice to your OWN characters, but Gul Maata always manages to do the inconceivable. Anyways, better I not start ranting 😆 but in short I'm glad we're on the same wavelength about this!
Coming to the fic, thanks! I'm glad to hear that! I wanted Meera to be the wakeup call that Om (I feel) desperately needed to really come into his own. Likewise I want Om to show Meera a mirror to her flaws, that unlike Om she is aware of, but has become complacent to. She's also a result of my longing for a realistic, sarcastic, and bullshit-intolerant female heroine who calls it like it is. Someone we could actually know and far from the archetype "bubbly full of life righteous" female lead we're so used to, or the ones that are supposedly strong, until it actually matters you know?
I hope you like her :) Honestly the chemistry she and Omkara have managed to have is unreal, like even I didn't expect it to be anything that electrifying when I conceptualized it (especially when you've got a seemingly 'goody-goody' guy like Om). I mean I knew they obviously would compliment each other but nothing close to what it's turning out to be. As I'm writing the chapters, they seem to have minds of their own and just really work! And more so than anything else, I'm mentioning this because I'm just really excited for you to read it! Again thanks for such a nice review, I hope you enjoy this story as much as I've enjoyed writing it! :)
P.S. Oh gosh, thanks a bunch! That VM's the closest my heart, glad to hear you liked it! ❤️
