It's curious phenomenon where a hot guy's tears and pain attracts more people to justify/coddle/wipe his tears/fix his pain/be understanding and a hot girl's tears and pain attracts occasional "oh you poor thing" followed by what she did wrong to deserve it and what she can do next time to avoid it.

I will stick by an abused and ill-treated person any day, be it man or woman.

When Sonakshi kept on sacrificing her wishes, her dreams, her respect for his family; didn't he blatantly discredited her efforts by claiming that she was faking to be a good wife?

When he was the one who continued to lie and break his relationships, wasn't he the one who refused to see how his lies and lack of spine was the reason for him not being able to hold onto Sonakshi and put all the blame on Ishwari and Sona?

This was the simple problem. He wanted to keep everyone happy or atleast he believed that he will keep everyone happy. But the truth of the matter was he only kept those people happy who Ish wanted to be happy. He only wanted Ish's happiness. He promised Sona and did stand up few times when Neha insulted Sona or sometimes GKB. But standing up for Sona when Ish comes into the picture was out of question. He discusses with Sona and decides on working on their mutual decision but ends up doing what his mommy wanted. Example, Vickys case. Only because Sona became or was misunderstood to be the carrier of the Dixit heir, she was heard by everyone for Riya's case. Else Ish and Devs blind devotion for Ish would have spoiled Riyas life by now.
